Happy to share the latest paper from our lab: rdcu.be/eYaRP where we propose that multipotent progenitors from the dorsal aortic compartment in E9.5 mouse embryos contribute to the formation of brown adipose tissue depots

Myc and muscle growth: necessary in muscle stem cells, dispensable in muscle fibers and harmful if overexpressed. Check out our latest work rdcu.be/eggcw in @NatureComms, where we explore the role of Myc in muscle growth and more.

Loss of Osr1 leads to altered matrix deposition impairing proliferation of lymph endothelial cells (LECs) at the sprouting tip, while decreased expression of signaling factors as Cxcl12 impairs LEC migration.

So...Mammals normally store fat under the skin in an even layer, but camels evolved to pile fat in one spot, so the rest of their bodies can stay cool in the desert. Why don't other desert animals do this? Well, they do.... but for some reason, we never talk about them..... 🧵🧵

This was coupled to premature muscle stem cell quiescence induction via Notch pathway activation; blunting Notch signaling during early postnatal development ameliorated the muscle phenotype in this model.
