But attacking options we now have and Isak to come in will hopefully reduce impact the loss when Salah leaves

I take the point but Man U had Yorke, Cole, Sheringham & Solskjaer. 4 top strikers for 2 positions. Without that depth they'dve won less (inc no CL!) Slot might be without all 4 players he used at CF (Diaz, Jota, Nunez & Chiesa). Buying 2 for 1 posn is ok. £150m is too much tho.
