@CaliJets I feel like it won't happen because they reallocated their assets away from CB to draft another position. It goes against the process of trading one of your best players in Sauce Gardner just to replace him with a pick you got for him.

Anyone else feel like it’s a sneaky possibility the Jets could take a corner at pick 16?

I like Makai Lemon - don't get me wrong. I think he has an opportunity to be a very good NFL WR. He seems to understand leverage and soft spots in a defense and knows how to get open. Similar to JSN but can get physical after the catch and pickup YAC. I just believe more in a Jordyn Tyson in today's NFL (if he can stay healthy). The athleticism is off the charts like it was with Garrett Wilson, Justin Jefferson, OBJ.

@Ihartitz His jump cuts are sick but he runs stiff and upright. Athleticism has left a lot to be desired. Ill take a chance on injuries and draft Jordyn Tyson.

Would I be an advocate for the #Jets to trade back and acquire even more picks in 2027 to find their QB? Yes.

@Nick_Faria1720 I hate to be an advocate for the tank but the Jets absolutely need one of those 1st round picks to be in the top 3-5 to land one of their guys next year. Realistically - will we see tradebacks to stockpile even more picks next year to do that. I wouldn't be against it at all.

All things considered, the #Jets should not be concerned about Miami tanking this year. 2027 is supposed to be a deep QB class. There will be plenty of options and opportunities for NY to get the right guy.

@Connor_J_Hughes Thank you for refuting that report, Connor. There is some honest journalism in NY still.

There has been zero change to the #Jets organizational power structure this offseason, according to sources. The team is operating exactly as they have been. Reports to the contrary are factually incorrect.

@LegerDouzable What jumps off film to me is how much more physical of a player than Styles he is. When he's coming down hill to make a tackle, he is putting hands on people and moving them. Same when he's rushing the passer.

I think they have assumed their roles. Mougey is a young guy in the league. It took him some time to establish himself and show what kind of GM he can be. I'm not sure I would chalk it up to the power struggyle and disconnect between Mougey and Glenn that everyone is making it out to be though. tWith all that being said - Mougey has performed better at his job and I wouldn't be surprised to see him stay and Glenn gone in 2027 if the team struggles. We'll see.

Watching that @nyjets end of season presser back in January sure had me thinking there were some changes made at 1JD. Maybe AG was just off bc of 3-14, but he seemed to do a lot less speaking than usual w/ Mougey stepping up into the spotlight quite a bit. I recall several beat writers saying Glenn's vibe was completely different as he was more subdued with no confrontational answers.

Great cover corner that can shut down any number 1 but struggles heavily against the run. Almost to the point that it was starting to negate his coverage ability. The Jets were that bad against the run. Was a move to reallocate assets towards other positions of need. Don't see how you can fault the Jets for trading him for 2 1st round picks.

Connor says he would not have done the Sauce Gardner trade: "He would've been a guy, like a Garrett Wilson, where I'm just not trading him. I may eat my words...but the Sauce one is the one where I wouldn't have done it, I wouldn't have pulled the trigger." @Connor_J_Hughes and @ZackBlatt on Jets Final Drive

I don't know if I believe that entirely. With the Jets picking up guys like Demario and Minkah who seem like Aaron Glenn guys, it seems like he's had some say in some of these decisions. Also consider the fact that it's just a Francesa to put the NY teams down and dig up dirt on them. This regime has been pretty buttoned up to this point.

🚨 Mike Francesa reports a MAJOR power shift inside the Jets According to Francesa: • Woody Johnson gave Darren Mougey the power • Aaron Glenn is not on equal footing with Mougey • The relationship between Glenn/Mougey isn’t as smooth as it’s been portrayed 'Mougey is now in charge. It is not equal.'

@JNRadio_Glenn @nyjets @KyleCrabbs If you stay at 2 I think Reese is the pick, but if you can get a couple premium picks back in a trade and also get a Styles or Tate at pick 4 or 5 you definitely have to consider it. Both are solid options I think.

Lots of speculating regarding the @nyjets taking Arvell Reese at 2, but would anyone complain if it was teammate Sonny Styles? I know @KyleCrabbs recently mocked him to the Jets at 2. Nice job here of showing patience, reading the play and exploding into the ball carrier.

@ProFootballTalk Sure sounds like the Love to Titans train is picking up steam. Will they have to leapfrog the Cardinals to get him?

Justin Fields may never reach the potential that some envisioned him reaching coming out of Ohio St. He was bounced around, benched, ridiculed - but never made a peep in the media. Handled his business like a pro I am glad that he gets to experience a winning organization in KC.

@NFLPerformances That’s a day 2 pick right there. Fumbles sure. Jonathan Taylor also had issues fumbling the ball. Look how that turned out.

The Jets are re-signing RB/RS Kene Nwangwu on a one-year, $2 million deal, per source. He gets $1 million guaranteed and can earn up to $3M with incentives. Deal negotiated by Christian Kranz and Shane Costa of Generation Sports Group.

@BenFennell_NFL More I watch him, the more convinced I am that he will be the pick for the #Titans at 4. Saleh loves this type of edge rusher. It’s either him or Jeremiah Love.

Bain does a lot of toying presnap with his snug/wide alignments… Can beat your face in phonebooth brawler style from the snug fronts… but can win with speed/runway too. Loves speed to power knockbacks, or violent hands to win underneath oversets into B Gaps
