I like Makai Lemon - don't get me wrong. I think he has an opportunity to be a very good NFL WR. He seems to understand leverage and soft spots in a defense and knows how to get open. Similar to JSN but can get physical after the catch and pickup YAC.
I just believe more in a Jordyn Tyson in today's NFL (if he can stay healthy). The athleticism is off the charts like it was with Garrett Wilson, Justin Jefferson, OBJ.

@Nick_Faria1720 I hate to be an advocate for the tank but the Jets absolutely need one of those 1st round picks to be in the top 3-5 to land one of their guys next year.
Realistically - will we see tradebacks to stockpile even more picks next year to do that. I wouldn't be against it at all.
English

All things considered, the #Jets should not be concerned about Miami tanking this year.
2027 is supposed to be a deep QB class. There will be plenty of options and opportunities for NY to get the right guy.
English

@Connor_J_Hughes Thank you for refuting that report, Connor. There is some honest journalism in NY still.
English

There has been zero change to the #Jets organizational power structure this offseason, according to sources.
The team is operating exactly as they have been.
Reports to the contrary are factually incorrect.

@LegerDouzable What jumps off film to me is how much more physical of a player than Styles he is.
When he's coming down hill to make a tackle, he is putting hands on people and moving them. Same when he's rushing the passer.
English

I think they have assumed their roles.
Mougey is a young guy in the league. It took him some time to establish himself and show what kind of GM he can be.
I'm not sure I would chalk it up to the power struggyle and disconnect between Mougey and Glenn that everyone is making it out to be though.
tWith all that being said - Mougey has performed better at his job and I wouldn't be surprised to see him stay and Glenn gone in 2027 if the team struggles. We'll see.
English

Watching that @nyjets end of season presser back in January sure had me thinking there were some changes made at 1JD.
Maybe AG was just off bc of 3-14, but he seemed to do a lot less speaking than usual w/ Mougey stepping up into the spotlight quite a bit.
I recall several beat writers saying Glenn's vibe was completely different as he was more subdued with no confrontational answers.
English

Great cover corner that can shut down any number 1 but struggles heavily against the run. Almost to the point that it was starting to negate his coverage ability. The Jets were that bad against the run.
Was a move to reallocate assets towards other positions of need.
Don't see how you can fault the Jets for trading him for 2 1st round picks.
English

Connor says he would not have done the Sauce Gardner trade:
"He would've been a guy, like a Garrett Wilson, where I'm just not trading him.
I may eat my words...but the Sauce one is the one where I wouldn't have done it, I wouldn't have pulled the trigger."

I don't know if I believe that entirely.
With the Jets picking up guys like Demario and Minkah who seem like Aaron Glenn guys, it seems like he's had some say in some of these decisions.
Also consider the fact that it's just a Francesa to put the NY teams down and dig up dirt on them. This regime has been pretty buttoned up to this point.
English

🚨 Mike Francesa reports a MAJOR power shift inside the Jets
According to Francesa:
• Woody Johnson gave Darren Mougey the power
• Aaron Glenn is not on equal footing with Mougey
• The relationship between Glenn/Mougey isn’t as smooth as it’s been portrayed
'Mougey is now in charge. It is not equal.'

@JNRadio_Glenn @nyjets @KyleCrabbs If you stay at 2 I think Reese is the pick, but if you can get a couple premium picks back in a trade and also get a Styles or Tate at pick 4 or 5 you definitely have to consider it.
Both are solid options I think.
English

Lots of speculating regarding the @nyjets taking Arvell Reese at 2, but would anyone complain if it was teammate Sonny Styles?
I know @KyleCrabbs recently mocked him to the Jets at 2.
Nice job here of showing patience, reading the play and exploding into the ball carrier.
English

@ProFootballTalk Sure sounds like the Love to Titans train is picking up steam. Will they have to leapfrog the Cardinals to get him?
English

Jeremiyah Love is favored to be the No. 4 pick. nbcsports.com/nfl/profootbal…

@DC_NFLDraft @OmariiBrown Ultimate professional. I hope he is able to find some success elsewhere.
English

@NFLPerformances That’s a day 2 pick right there.
Fumbles sure. Jonathan Taylor also had issues fumbling the ball. Look how that turned out.

@TomPelissero @robcarpenter81 Jets missed him last year when he was out.
Important player for the special teams.

Bro Quincy would get the ball in his hands and be shot out of a cannon and look like Tyreek Hill level speed at 230 lbs… it was outrageous

@BearsShowYo Can’t teach this kind of bend and power. He’s gonna be a good edge rusher for a long time.

The Demario Davis signing is so much like the CJ Mosley signing when it happened.
Davis a bit older but same concept: Culture builder still playing at a high level and commanding the defense.

"For me, my faith always goes out in front. I wouldn't be in this position without a whole lot of covering and blessings from the man above." Demario Davis was asked about being able to play linebacker in the NFL at the age of 37:
English

@BenFennell_NFL More I watch him, the more convinced I am that he will be the pick for the #Titans at 4. Saleh loves this type of edge rusher.
It’s either him or Jeremiah Love.
