So I recently got admission and if you know anything about living in Ibadan, you already know where this is going. Light situation here is a different kind of suffering compared to Lagos. I am not exaggerating. So I made a decision. I was going to get a solar system that could power my PC and a few other things in my room. I paid approximately ₦450,000. Panel, installation, everything inclusive. On the day of installation, the first problem that came up was finding the right spot to place the panel. It needed direct sunlight to work efficiently and that is just basic solar logic. We found a good spot, which on a rooftop closer to my room. Everything was looking promising and then the house manager showed up and shut the whole thing down. He ssaid the Landlord didn't want any panel on the roof. We begged, we explained. We tried every angle we could think of. The manager stood his ground still. So we had to improvise. We ended up placing the panel behind the window, a spot where sunlight only reaches around 1pm or 2pm on a good day. Yes. A solar panel that sees the sun for maybe two hours. We knew it was not ideal but what choice did we have at that point? To make things worse, we had a class that same day so we rushed off to school and comforted ourselves with the thought that at least it would be set up by the time we got back. We got home feeling hopeful. Comman see what these guys installed mehn. The only thing that solar system could power was a DC bulb they brought themselves. One single bulb. That was it. ₦450,000 and the only light in my room was a bulb.😭💔

@Techie_kacci Of course I started learning logo design using YouTube in 2020 but I got access to a premium and detailed course on it in 2021 (paid course but was gifted) So yes, my experience played a huge role

I used 1 week to learn and practice logo design in 2021 with the help of Mr Leye’s videos then (I was gifted because I asked for help with logo design, couldn’t afford the money) I created 50+ logos, 90% were personal projects between June and December, I picked my best 16 and shared on Twitter and I got my first 500 USD Gig the same month from this same app just by sharing my work. Love how much I’ve grown and I’m grateful for the people I connected with on this app ❤️❤️
