All across Ireland there is now footage coming in of major disruptions by farmers and hauliers who are protesting the government's inaction during the fuel crisis. Irish producers, hauliers and those they supply in the service industry and various infrastructural development industries have been stretched to breaking over the past two decades as FF/G focus their attention on attracting US FDI investment to artificially boost GDP while abandoning native industry. This is a historic moment.

People can’t wait any longer. We need real action from government to support workers, families, local businesses and those who keep Ireland moving every day. Rising fuel prices are putting huge pressure on people. Government needs to listen. Cut taxes on home heating oil, go further on petrol and diesel, and deliver real cost of living support. This can and should be done without further delay. I will keep fighting your corner until you and your family get what you deserve.

A lovely peaceful Easter weekend with the little ones planting. We have a heap of kohlrabi, garlic, onion, cabbage (different breeds), carrots and spuds in. Grapes and fruit trees all pruned. Ready to roll! 🌱
