It’s why the few episodes I’ve been able to see of SNL Korea are so fun and fascinating. It kinda looks and is formatted like SNL but once you’re past that, it becomes its own insane and beautiful thing. There’s so much that can be done with the skeletal framework of this show.

While I understand the desire to appeal to American audiences as well, I do hope SNL UK focuses on establishing its own, unique voice. Borrow the basic format, sure, but beyond that, I’m hoping they take it in wild new directions that barely resemble the US version.

@ThatWeekInSNL The only part I didn't like was the start and end with Kenan, who has been woeful this season. I assume that was put onto them by those at the show who want everything to be ha ha hee hee. Jane and Veronika did well and it was nice to have something low-key and character led.

@ThatWeekInSNL A lot of people love the weekend update joke swap because of the live reaction to seeing their jokes for the first time on air so this in a way is the same thing but worked into a sketch. The jokes itself could've been funnier but the concept is neat for those that are into that
