A much needed dominant outing for Ryan Weathers. Many people assumed he was done after 6 scoreless innings and 73 pitches. And then more people assumed he was done after 7. But he extended to cover 8 innings across 100 pitches. The Stuff is clearly there with him. The biggest concern was could he go deep in games. This is super encouraging and a great sign moving forward. #RepBX

Giancarlo Stanton, what are we getting this year? In 2024 it was good power with little else. In 2025 it was elite power and a great overall statline, but in very limited playing time. So far in 2026, the power metrics are down, the batting average is up. Tough to say that is an approach change so early, I would bank on the power showing up any moment. But the real story is he is playing everyday, and that deserves a pickup in any league he is available in. He was a stud last year and was only missing the playing time. #RepBX x.com/MLB/status/204…

Drake Baldwin is taking the leap. Did you get your ticket? Elite power production from a Catcher is like a cheat code. He was far too cheap on draft day. #BravesCountry

@EricCrossMLB Hey Eric, What are your thoughts on this upside projection for Sal Stewart, if all breaks right with the lineup and ballpark? 85 40 105 15 .285/365/550/915

Cleveland Guardians' starting pitcher Joey Cantillo had the changeup working against the Royals, leading to a 38.9% swinging-strike rate. He continues to throw a harder changeup (+1.6 mph), losing 3 inches of downward movement. That’s similar to Cantillo’s changeup velocity and movement profile in 2026. 🪙It coincides with Cantillo’s changeup being thrown more in the zone (56%) on April 8th, up from 50% in 2026 and 46.6% in 2025. He was locating some changeups in the heart of the zone for called and swinging strikes on Wednesday, so that approach might not be sustainable against other teams. 🪝Cantillo’s curveball was a called-strike machine on Wednesday, with a 67% called strike rate. The heatmaps show Cantillo going for backdoor curveballs to right-handed hitters, attempting to catch them sleeping on the breaking pitch. ⏩He has been throwing curveballs 2-3 mph harder in 2026, leading to fewer inches (3-5) of downward movement. It’s still an above-average pitch from a vertical movement standpoint, though there have been more curveballs higher in the zone than in previous seasons. Monitor Cantillo’s curveball locations. Cantillo has been a fun sleeper that's performing fairly well early in 2026.

After a slow start out of the gate, James Wood has quickly reminded us what we were so excited about coming into the season. His power will play in any park, in any lineup, and against any pitchers. All that's left is to ascend to the elite tier of bats. #Natitude

Aside from having a noodle for an arm, it's been mostly quiet on the Roman Anthony front so far. We all know the avalanche of hits are coming at some point, and we will all wish we send that offer. The last time you will ever be able to buy him in a dynasty league may be right now. #DirtyWater

Alec Burleson, STL Let me start off by saying I am not a Burleson fan. I didn't want to include him here but I felt I needed to because what he is doing is notable. First of all, he is mashing and only has 1 HR to show for it. His Statcast Sliders are all red, but I wanted to highlight something in particular. His low strikeouts continue to be a strength of his profile each of the last few years. However, this year, he's also up to an 18% walk rate vs 7% last year. Improved Plate Discipline showcases an OBP that could become elite once the hits start falling.📈 #STLCards 5/5

Dominic Canzone, SEA I'm not hearing a lot of buzz about what he has done so far this year, and it's likely because he is hitting just about .200 with a couple homers. But looking at his expected statistics, it's easy to see a breakout waiting to happen. And he's likely to be on your waiver wire. 📈 #TridentsUp 4/5

It's Time to Buy Low 🧵 Let's identify some players who have been better than their surface stats so far. While this early in the season the samples size is so small, it is important not to overthink any statistic. But these guys are ready to turn it around: 1/5
