In addition to developing software (and writing books) - I also do a lot of freelance web work! I often encourage clients to register their own domain names (rather then getting me to do it for them) - and I go into more details on the reasons for this my recent blog post...

@LucyAmbache For me, it was a certain branch of a well-known shoe retailer... only lasted one day! After the store manager left, etc. I eventually got paid (although it was months later).
