Hillel didn’t “fund war crimes.” It supports Jewish students visiting Israel, including trips where some volunteer with the IDF, their country’s military defending against Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran. Student senates have no right to police private associations or Jewish self-defense while ignoring countless other groups. This isn’t accountability; it’s selective punishment of an org which supports Jewish students on campus, stripping resources from cultural/religious life while falsely claiming this has anything to do with “international law.” Jew hate disguised as social justice hides in such targeted boycotts. Hillel raises its own funds too—defund attempts like this expose the bigotry, not any “crime.”

Despicable news. NYC’s @TheNewSchool student senate has voted to suspend Hillel’s funding & collaboration. Hillel is the center of Jewish life on campus. Not a word, of course, from NYC’s “antisemitism czar” @phylisajoy who appears to be on a perpetual “listening tour” serving as Mamdani’s official token Jew.

I helped lead President Obama’s auto rescue and now serve as Michigan’s most effective Democrat in Congress. I know what coastal elites say about our state. None of this is new, it’s just mean, tired, and out of touch. It shows that those folks don’t give a wit about Michigan. Wishing the coasts would split off from “Middle America.” Jokes that we’re “morons.” Repeatedly disparaging our auto industry and the hundreds of thousands of Michigan workers and their families who depend on it. We’ve heard it all before, but not from someone who wants to speak for us.

I’m a born and raised Michigander and damn proud of it. I love everything that makes us Michiganders, from our manufacturing heritage to our lakes and yep, even our accent.
