Giving Day 1: "Intro to Transformations" a new look this year! 🔎 Ss played Tetris to start class & make connections with words they already know; then defined translation, reflection, rotation. Finally, revisited different Tetris tasks using the new vocabulary. 💡 #geometryfun

Give standing Ss a marker, whiteboard, & partner, and watch the magic happen! 🪄 ❤️ hearing the discussions, support, and encouragement Ss give each other... So much more active learning than when I've given the same task sitting @ their desks! 💡 #inquisitive #thinkingclassroom

Student votes from yesterday's VHHS Pi Day Extravaganza were tallied and the "winner" of a pie in the face was @VHHSMath Teacher Jennifer Tye who received her honor this morning from Principal @JonGuillaumeVH. Thanks for being a great sport, Ms. Tye!
