Watching the replay & you can see Patterson takes his eye off the ball before Clarke takes his shot. If he had been following the ball he’d have saved it, lapse of concentration from the keeper after a couple of world class saves.

I had dinner once with a top physicist and a top computer scientist and asked what they thought the probability was that we were in a simulation.
