Very proud of @UCLRespiratory #PhD student @abdulelahinter who recruited his first patient to our #RCT of protein supplementation to enhance #PR outcomes in #COPD today. We’re trying to increase the evidence base for nutrition in COPD one box at a time!

@DrPFCollins @NICEcomms @ProfHurst I too contributed to the @BDA_Dietitians response to this guideline - deeply disappointed at the lack recognition of the crucial role of malnutrition in this condition. Shows yet again that guidelines are only as good as the evidence they include - read all guidelines critically
