Tried TanStack Start and sincerely, it is just too verbose for me, too many defineServerFn, defineMiddleware and so on. I am more of a SvelteKit person, predictable conventions make software better.

@joyofcodedev @dummdidumm_ Yes, remote functions bring better DX and you can keep one requireAuth function and call it anywhere, but you can also do the same thing in loaders and actions.

Awesome thing about SvelteKit remote functions is that you only have to check for auth when it's required instead of every request inside hooks

Been playing with Go a lot lately, and sincerely I get it why people like it. If I were to build something strictly for backend right now, ts/js won’t be my first pick for sure, the lack of conventions and proper std library makes everything bumpy.

@heyandras I think here will be way less horror stories mostly due to the fact that most vibe-coders have no clue that the service they built has some vulnerabilities.
