You are a traitor. Full stop. You swore an oath to the Constitution and the American people, and you are spitting on both of them. You deserve to be removed from office, and history will not be kind to you. The SAVE Act requires proof of citizenship to vote. That’s it. That’s the whole thing. Only citizens are legally permitted to vote in American elections. So when you stand up and fight against verifying citizenship, you owe every single one of us a direct answer: WHO ARE YOU PROTECTING? Say it out loud. We’re waiting. You show ID to buy a beer. You show ID to board a plane, open a bank account, fill a prescription, check into a hotel room, and purchase a firearm. Not one person on the planet calls any of that oppression. Not one. But the second we require someone to prove they are an American citizen before they get a say in the future of America, you lose your mind and start screaming about democracy dying? That is the dumbest argument in the history of American politics and you know it. What you are actually telling the country is that casting a ballot in the most important elections on earth should require LESS proof of identity than picking up a case of Bud Light. Let that land. Sit with it. Because that is your position. And spare me the “millions will be disenfranchised” garbage. If a legal United States citizen cannot produce a single document confirming that fact, there are dozens of government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and legal aid groups ready to help them obtain one. That infrastructure exists specifically for that purpose. You know it exists. You just do not want anyone using it, because that tells you everything about what you actually want. THE ONLY PEOPLE THE SAVE ACT HURTS ARE THE PEOPLE WHO WERE NEVER LEGALLY SUPPOSED TO BE VOTING IN THE FIRST PLACE. I am done watching Democrats wrap illegal voting in the language of civil rights. It is a lie. It is an insult to every legitimate voter in this country, and it is an insult to the actual civil rights movement. Here is the civil rights issue you refuse to acknowledge: every fraudulent ballot cast destroys a real one. A real American’s vote. Gone. Canceled. Erased. THAT is disenfranchisement. THAT is the voter suppression happening in plain sight while you throw a tantrum about basic ID requirements. Every functioning democracy on this planet verifies voters. Every single one. This is not radical. This is not racist. This is not suppression. This is the bare minimum standard that serious countries apply to their elections. The fact that you are willing to grind Congressional business to a halt to block something this basic tells the American people exactly whose votes you care about. And it is not fucking ours.

The SAVE America Act makes it harder for American citizens to vote. It hands private voter data over to DHS and adds costly hurdles just to register. We should be making it easier for Americans to have their voices heard and have their right to vote — not harder.
