It looks like instead of Alicent saying, 'Bastard blood shed at war,' we will see Corlys giving a lecture on bastard children.
In the book, however, Rhaenyra legtimized Addam/Alyn, appointed Addam the heir to Driftmark bypassing Joffrey even when Jace was alive.

Changing things that were vague in the book Fire & Blood is one thing, but changing public events and established facts is another. Rhaenyra legitimized Addam and Alyn Velaryon, making Addam the heir. This was a fact in the book, not a rumor.

@moonssphantom TBH, I think lord Manderly was his well wishers. This progress would have been a great PR exercise for Aegon III. Daenaera was excited too. Only thing Aegon III lacked was good PR.

@SUNSTIANA The way every small reaction of Rhaenyra was judged by maesters and narrators like her only fault was being women. She is not allowed to make mistakes. Even her eating food was judged. They saw her with contempt. She suffered like no other. Even her pain/suffering was mocked.

Rhaenyra's story is actually a horror story for women… they specifically cut her breast in front of her own son. They could’ve chosen anywhere else. Instead, they chose a part of her body tied to womanhood & motherhood. It feels like punishment for her gender.
