@icreatelife Congrats!!! I dunno the specifics of anything here, but I DO know how great it feels to work hard on something really unfamiliar, and see the change in yourself as it becomes familiar and feasible!! (And how much it sucks when someone poops on that). Glad you didn’t let them!!

Yesterday I spent hours learning to do frame-by-frame animation and someone messaged me saying that no one does frame-to-frame anymore and it's a waste of time. Today when I got up I received a message from one of my favorite animators saying that he congratulates me in becoming "a real animator". The truth is the only reason I learnt it was to appreciate modern tools that I'm going to use. There's a tool Adobe Animate that allows drawing each frame and there's After Effects (an animation / motion graphic giant) that does it all for you. My teacher made me draw every single frame so I can appreciate when I use a tool that actually helps me. Words can hurt but also can heal. When someone is starting something new it can be a humbling journey. I was going to iterate on it and improve it before showing you, but I thought I'll show you my very first digital frame by frame animation as it is. I'll show you iterations later. In the past I would only make animations out of clay / paper / stop motions and never tried digital. Two days ago I didn't know how to do it. Now I know and that's what matters. It's 40 frames.
