Wolves have made two key Academy appointments as the club looks to realign its strategy. Christian Preußer joins as Head of Football, bringing experience from Borussia Dortmund II, Fortuna Dusseldorf, SC Freiburg II and youth level in Germany. His focus will be on playing philosophy, identity, the player pathway and coach development. Ian Sharps steps into a new role as Head of Coaching for U9s to U16s, continuing his long-standing work in the Academy setup. Academy director Jon Hunter-Barrett says the changes are part of a wider reset, with a clear focus on identity, alignment and creating a stronger pathway to the first team. #wwfc

Not sure why supporters are getting all bent up over this. The journo was pushing him and he’s quite right that there are certain times when the players really need us behind them in key moments. Equally RE was honest that we haven’t had much to cheer about this season and that is purely indicative and a knock-on effect of where we are and he can understand why it’s been flat. I’d prefer honesty like this from the man at the helm.

@finchy_84 I absolutely agree but the kid would be on over £100k a week at somewhere like chelsea , sets him up for life its hard to look past that and he isnt a local kid there isnt the attachment there with players anymore and it can be a short career i dont think he stays at all sadly

Honestly this isnt me being biased but if he makes such a move this summer after less than 12 months of playing mens football he will just get lost in the system! He needs to be playing a good 2-3 years of mens football week in week out at his age and then look at moving on

Bangor University have banned Reform and called us “racist, transphobic and homophobic”. Bangor receives £30 million in state funding a year, much of which comes from Reform-voting taxpayers. I am sure they won’t mind losing every penny of that state funding under a Reform government. After all, they wouldn’t want a racist’s money would they?

Racing in Scarborough one year we had some fish and chips with 3 Gurkhas having a day off. Amazing people, friendly, funny, but I wouldn't have upset them.

@ConceptScouting All i can say is in the meeting that i had with jeff , senior staff didnt comment unless jeff invited it, with Nathan they had absolute license to speak freely,coupled with matt jackson stating that none of signings in the summer were recruitment led, its clear jeff did his thing

I find the fact that anybody remotely close to Wolves can say, after the last 5 years, that Jeff Shi was THE problem absolutely incredible. These scenarios are never built up from the failings of one person. It’s a systemic failure on all fronts.
