@InsideCroydon The walk launches Saturday 17th. I suspect SCT passed through West Croydon and other local stations many times, why a plaque there particularly I know not. No doubt all will be revealed on 17th June.

@ShanqMarie Sorry for using the wrong word. I’ve been asking around among people I know who’ve breastfed, to try and find someone who could talk it through with her, but no luck yet.

@croydn It's not fear, she doesn't feel comfortable currently and it's the freedom of her choice. She will take the vaccine, but she shouldn't have to while she's currently on maternity leave and breast feeding

I need some advice please: Someone close to me who works for the NHS is currently on maternity leave & still breastfeeding. She doesn't want to have the vaccine while breastfeeding but was told recently that she would need to have the mandatory vaccine to keep her job

@ShanqMarie The NHS strongly recommends breastfeeding people get the jab: nhs.uk/conditions/cor… She doesn’t need to stop breastfeeding to get the jab. If the problem is that she’s still scared, the best way you can help is to find someone she trusts who can reassure her that it’s safe.

Also need to add that she would need to have her first jab by next week and she she needs time to wean the baby off breast milk
