SQL tip: EXISTS is almost always faster than IN for subqueries. SELECT * FROM orders o WHERE EXISTS ( SELECT 1 FROM customers c WHERE c.id = o.customer_id AND c.country = 'UK' ); EXISTS stops at the first match. IN checks every row.

there are two types of developers: 1. those who back up their database 2. those who will start backing up their database

Redis tip: use SCAN instead of KEYS in production. KEYS * blocks the entire server while it iterates. SCAN does it incrementally. KEYS is fine in dev. in production, it's a ticking time bomb.

YouTube tip for dev content creators: don't wait until your product is ready. the "building it" phase IS the content. people want to see the messy middle, not the polished launch.
