#ReadyorNot2 Here I Come offers up another deadly game of hide and seek, and while it has some exciting moments and fun kills, it never recaptures the gleeful, twisted fun or shock value of the first film. Samara Weaving once again is great, delivering a truly badass final girl, while Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Shawn Hatosy are all excellent and highly entertaining additions to this world. The story expands the lore of Mr. Le Bail that sets the events of the sequel into motion, but this second game of hide and seek is never as inventive, shocking or clever as it needs to be to justify this sequel, which causes it to constantly live in the shadow of its predecessor… no matter how many individuals go boom!

#ProjectHailMary is a true science fiction masterpiece! Directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller and screenwriter Drew Goddard perfectly capture the heart and soul of Andy Weir’s novel, never sacrificing its infectious spirit in bringing to life the friendship of Grace and Rocky. The visual effects are stunning, Daniel Pemberton’s musical score soars to the heavens, and Sandra Hüller is exceptional as Stratt, all helping to deliver an emotional and out of this world epic, but it is the performance of Ryan Gosling that gives the film its magic as he has never been better.
