@dostross

Mom and Dad told me the Bible was the literal Truth, but at 15 I thought for myself because it didn't make sense. Same with Mainstream media today in my 60s.

@AnitaAnandMP @jnbarrot So sick of the lies coming from my OWN GOVERNMENT. Russian troops controlled Chernobyl; the drones attacking the plant were from Ukrainian forces. As logic would dictate.

Canada is contributing $8 million for urgent repairs to the Chornobyl New Safe Confinement following damage caused by a Russian drone strike. Nearly 40 years after the disaster, Russia’s war is again threatening nuclear safety—an unacceptable attack on civilian infrastructure. We will work with partners to protect civilians and to hold Russia accountable. canada.ca/en/global-affa…

Inviting Vladimir Putin to the G20 would signal to the world that aggression works, and that appeasement is back on the table. America is better than this.

“Chornobyl” is the only correct spelling Ukraine asks the world to use. Using Ukrainian transliterations respects Ukraine’s language and culture and moves away from Russian forms that were imposed by Russia during the Soviet era. It is also part of a wider effort to decolonise language and correct long-standing imbalances in global usage. Using the correct transliteration for a place in Ukraine affirms recognition of Ukraine as a sovereign state – a fact Russia tries to deny. We welcome the decision of states and international organisations to adopt the Ukrainian spelling of Chornobyl, including in the UN resolution of December 10, 2025. Like Kyiv, Chornobyl reflects Ukrainian pronunciation and thus aligns with the global practice of updating place names for linguistic correctness. The successful shift from the Russian spelling “Kiev” to the Ukrainian “Kyiv” is a clear example of this trend. All Ukrainian cities deserve to have their names rendered correctly. #ChornobylNotChernobyl #Chornobyl40

Russia has committed many horrific crimes in its war against Ukraine, but the abduction of Ukrainian children stands among the gravest. Thousands of children have been taken. Every single one of them must be returned. On 11 May in Brussels, @andrii_sybiha, @AnitaAnandMP, @MartaKosEU and I will host the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children. Our objective is to bring them home and hold those responsible accountable.

@other_europe @EU_Made_Simple They’re trying to normalise this idea after one little poll of people that obviously had never really thought about it. EU needs our resources, fine, but we certainly don’t need another layer of corrupt, unelected burocracy.

- Kaja Kallas: "Washington is not trying to manage Europe. It is trying to dissolve it. They do not like the European Union,.. The tactics,resemble those used by the EU's adversaries.. The answer is not bilateral deals with Trump. It is unity. Because when Europe stands together, it is an equal power. And that is exactly what Washington cannot stand."

The alleged "War Crimes" committed in Bucha back in 2022 set the stage for a far wider concerted demonisation of Russia But many questions remain about who did the killing there- The BBC, CNN and Zelensky are telling you a different story, and you can trust them, Right?

The United States is holding up virtually all weapons deliveries purchased by EU countries. It is not like we’re completely defenseless here, but it’s obvious that if Russia attacks within the next year or two, we can’t rely not only on U.S. assistance – but even on weapons supplies. For Estonia, this is especially critical. news.err.ee/1610000377/est…

President Stubb: “I would prefer in the long run to see Ukraine in NATO. You know, I know for political reasons some people have problems with that. But let's think about it really serious. The Russian threat is not going away. So what then gives us comfort? In my mind, it's Ukraine.” 📹 CBC News

@Tablesalt13 They've stupidly alienated their previous source of natural resources (Russia), and they're being gouged to death by the people who pushed them into it (USA) so they've sent a mole (Carney) to convince Canadians to get onboard their sinking ship. Is that it?

I was so wrong. Russia is just stubbornly against peace - must be the result of imperialistic mindset from the modern times as they were so brutally fighting for their state hood outside their former occupied borders. Most of the Russians wouldn’t even understand that the west never had bad intentions. It seems they just haven’t learned anything from the 90ies. So stubborn… They had it all - everything the west loved to share with them. They just refused to accept it.

European countries have traditionally not sent weapons to countries at war because it makes them participants to the war. Our political-media establishment has now convinced their own public that it is controversial to claim European states are participants in the war against Russia just because they provide the weapons, intelligence, targeting, training, financing, contractors, war planning and territory for strikes. I predict that Russia will launch retaliatory strikes if we continue down this path.
