I’ve always thought Pete’s behavior in his first scene with Peggy feels out of character. It’s the first episode, so he probably wasn’t fully defined yet. He’s complex, sure, but aside from that, he’s never randomly that cruel to women. He knows how to be well-mannered, likely because of his upbringing.

Nepo Baby Acting is a scourge. Yeah, you’ll very rarely get *bad* performances out of these kids—they grew up in LA, they know to take the biz seriously, they’ve taken acting classes all their lives. But (with a few exceptions) they don’t have it. I want actors to have it.
