@GalaxyOctopvs @rinboz As occupations they’re different in fundamental ways but as skills their cores aren’t diametrically opposed.

@gor29340 @rinboz Does the average artist receive the average doctor's salary? Does the average artist have a study-work pipeline like medical students do with residencies? It's almost like those two paths are incredibly different.

The whole live and breathe the craft. Grind until you get the job in a creative industry is kinda funny to me ngl. Like ok what do you do then after you pull 100 hours a week for 4 years straight until you fuck your body up and still don't get a job bc the economy is in shambles.

@GalaxyOctopvs @rinboz But the principles are the same when it comes to attaining the necessary skills for each job. Both require long hours of tedious, mind-numbing work. If you’re only getting into art with the promise of a job at the end then yes you’re making excuses for yourself.
