I have just seen the latest numbers and people are now wholesale abandoning this site, mostly it seems for blue sky. I hope they enjoy it. I am not there and will not be in the future as my time with social media is at an end. Twitter was a great idea but it's now finished.

@RedCollectiveUK If Thatcher hadn't sold off so much of our council housing cheaply we wouldn't have such a problem now. Selling houses to the people living there is only ok if they pay full market value to enable a replacement to be made

@LBC @mrjamesob IIRC this was a referendum, and the Leave side voted less than 40%. This may have been more than Remain, but not enough to validate it being called a victory. A referendum should gain more than 50% for one side to be even considered!

'If we just leave them behind, they'll never catch up with us.'   As Wes Streeting suggests that people have 'moved on from Brexit,' caller Chris and @mrjamesob stress the importance in 'continuing the fight against disinformation'.

@corbyn_project Hezbollah is part of the government of Lebanon. Why are they regarded as terrorists when the IDF is not?

Keir Starmer's government are worried about the political fallout of the UK being asked to sign ICC arrest warrants for Benjamin Netanyahu. They ought to be more concerned about their equivocation on and complicity in Israel's genocide in Gaza. theguardian.com/world/2024/sep…

@LBC They should be able to use the missiles to the same distance inside Russia as Putin is hitting inside Ukraine.

@Jonathan_K_Cook It this is true it’s a sad, and mad situation. No one should stop, nor threaten people in need of aid. The one thing that does confuse me. Why isn’t this aid allowed through, but polio vaccines were?

The BBC is once again blocking an appeal by 15 aid agencies known as the Disaster Emergencies Committee (DEC) – as it did several years ago – and once again it's because the aid is intended for Gaza. The pretext given by BBC execs is that they're concerned the aid can't be delivered to Gaza, though they don't explain why: because Israel is blocking aid as part of its genocide against the people there. Sources inside the DEC say the BBC is fearful of the backlash from an Israel lobby the BBC and others in the establishment keep telling us exists only in our imaginations. Either the BBC is capitulating to the lobby, or there is no lobby and the corporation is simply run by the ghoulish dregs of humanity. Either way, the BBC is not fit for purpose.

@Art0fThinking The number of riddles and puzzles that claim only 0.01% can answer tells me that the average IQ of X viewers is appalingly low. Since this seems to be the majority of posts today, I guess I should drop it
