I'm going to try installing Linux it in a dual-boot configuration with Windows to unlock its full potential. I learned that you have to pay $99 a year for an Apple Developer ID, some code-signed thing, to be officially recognized by Apple... I don't have the money... #indiegame #linuxgame #gamedev

Full night of coding done. Intense, but productive. I’m still focusing on building the playable skeleton of Noaryn first, room by room, before moving too deep into final visuals. Today I’m switching gears a little to practice and refine my vector art workflow for the game’s environments. #gamedev

@Pongtris I'm trying to see that, but otherwise I would try to find a small, inexpensive second-hand Mac on OS15 if possible to manage this part. Linux I already have but I can't launch the builds (virtual machine) we'll see in the next update I do.

@henrystephdev I'm in the same boat as Mac goes. It was pointed out to me that you can rent time on one fairly cheaply if you only need it long enough to compile and run basic tests. If you're ok only supporting older Intel based Macs, it is possible to setup a vm as well.

Currently setting up a virtual machine to have Linux readily available and export from it, allowing more people to try my games and prototypes. The only downside is that I don't have macOS, unfortunately. I'd love to buy the Mac mini M4, but I don't have the money for it #gamedev #indiedev

Okay, Linux is booting up, GameMaker too. It allocated me 16 minutes of video RAM, which is awful, but it works. I can export but not run. As soon as I put a new prototype online, I'll also upload the Linux export, and you can tell me if it works. #gamedev #indiedev #indiegame #videogame

I'm still debating whether to buy #spine2D for the animations because I'm not exactly rolling in dough, so every penny counts. For now, I'm just trying to make the game playable despite the ugly and temporary designs. One thing at a time; my mind is already overloaded.
