@charrlysa It's not automated, Ahri is a real person! I'm glad she helped you :) When you send a help request, it tells you a person will join, and you can actually turn it off if you don't want us to respond.

they where genuinely so helpful and nice and this is probably the best and quickest customer service ive ever received that feels the least like an automated response or worse, robot call. i love @hyperbeamapp it is my solace in these trying times

@hyperbeamapp @VRChat @SonicFox This is exactly what I've been looking into solving for my Sofa Sunday streams. We play couch co-op games in VR, but have to use Steam overlay for the gameplay instead of the ingame video player. It would be especially useful if guests can see the screen too.

In our @VRChat integration, an extra feature we plan on working on is the ability to use Hyperbeam to share gameplay directly into video players with nearly no delay. Here is @SonicFox using a test setup to showcase exactly that! (Thanks for testing it out!)

@repair_kit @shepherd64_dre @VRChat @SonicFox VRChat requests that when VRChat mode is enabled, adult sites and the like are blocked. We work closely with VRChat, so we obey their requests. For Hyperbeam itself, it already exists, feel free to check it out!

@opinionWithAura @VRChat @SonicFox Due to VRChat limitations, Quest users need a different link, and video players that are able to input backup links for this sort of livestream. We do support both links at the same time, and ProTV's Hyperbeam support has both of those inputs!

We are an existing company that has been around since 2019, and we sell our tech to other companies, like Bigscreen for example. We don't collect any data, we are very privacy focused! We also have option subscriptions on our watch party site you can look into. I am passionate about VRChat, and want the community to have access to cool things. Not everyone can afford $5 a month, so I want the feature to be free, so it will be.

@hyperbeamapp @shepherd64_dre @VRChat @SonicFox It’s going to be a concept that’s not worth your time. Also if the service is free, then who is funding the money to pay the people working and to host this in the first place? Is it donations? Are you collecting data?

I'm one of the founding employees of Twitch, I know what I am doing! :) Hyperbeam's main focus isn't games, the gameplay footage you have seen recently are proof of concepts of the first feature we will build after release. The browsers do not have significant delay, and never have.

@hyperbeamapp @shepherd64_dre @VRChat @SonicFox Not sure if your expectations for this are high but when you implement this, people will be annoyed by input lag and end up just play games that were created in vrchat. (after hype) Everyone on the platform is long distance and you can’t make the speed of light any faster.

VRCDN is very good, especially for larger scale things like DJ sets! We aren't looking to replace VRCDN, we are not a CDN. Not sure why you keep mentioning it in so many replies.. but yeah, VRCDN is good! We just recognize the average person who wants to show a friend or two some gameplay doesn't want to use or learn how to setup OBS, so we want our service to be a single button click. Hyperbeam will also be free. We have the ability to look into shared control through VRChat in the future, but I have low expectations on being able to do that with low latency.

@nucknyan @hyperbeamapp @VRChat @SonicFox VRCDN exists and is better because they have 24/7 support and the money for better more reliable servers. Latency can be as low as 0.1 seconds but it depends on how far away people are from you. If you’re in the US and people from Japan are watching obv the latency will be more.

x.com/hyperbeamapp/s… It's a web browser in VRchat, and it is interactable! Currently, the gameplay's first version will only be a video stream. I think even if we enable inputs, keeping the two-way latency low enough will be impossible, cloud gaming sucks. Definitely not good for Fighting games, but maybe slower games where timing inputs isn't important. Definitely limits the options

Built specifically for, and by the developer of ProTV! However, it should work in any video player, so long as it has the low latency checkbox enabled when the world is created. The web browsers can have ingame control with ProTV once that build becomes public, too! x.com/hyperbeamapp/s…

@cholibaby @VRChat @SonicFox We don't have plans for Resonite, unfortunately. We are focusing our efforts on VRChat because the userbase is so much larger and we don't have the time to dedicate effort for such a smaller userbase

@_ViolaLayne_ @VRChat @SonicFox With direct integration, we plan on removing the need for extra programs like OBS. However, personally I think we may want to keep OBS as an option for people to be able to fully customize! Not everyone wants to run OBS, especially since it's not beginner friendly

Hyperbeam is a watch party service using virtual web browsers. Our integration turns VRChat video players into web browsers! One update I'm working on is allowing people to stream directly into them, which would allow real-time game sharing. When I was working at JustinTV, people told me no one would want to watch other people play video games, but then we made Twitch, so I think we proved people want to do things like this :)
