BBC Africa anchor, Waihiga Mwaura made this post about his interview with @aonanuga1956. Screen 1:
"I spoke to Nigerian President Tinubu's comms advisor Bayo Onanuga on #FocusOnAfrica about the recent attack in Jos (22+ deaths), why President Tinubu met the affected families only at the airport and why there have been no arrests so far."
Then Dali Viq, a Kenyan, commented. Screen 2:
"Terrible... Sorry Nigerians. You don't have a government and only God can literally save you. May the Almighty God rescue you and give you justice and peace."
Me: As a Nigerian just listen to Onanuga and tell me if you are not ashamed that this is the best we can have as a presidential spokesman. He is not even ashamed even when telling obvious lies and so incoherent.

In a calculated move to extinct ADC, a new faction of the party has emerged out of the blues to lay claim of it's original leadership. The group has distanced itself from Senator David Mark's faction, and Nafiu Bala Gombe's faction.
Ironically the group is being led by one Don Norman Obinna.
A man declared wanted by the Nigerian @PoliceNG so many years ago.

Peter Obi and his people ran a coordinated attack on me and everything I hold dear because I decided to think for myself.
I chose to support a different candidate outside Peter Obi’s anointed clown in my state (Edo governorship election).

Yesterday, I had the honor and privilege to visit and thank the President, @officialABAT, GCFR, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic, for the historic visit to Ogun State to commission the Gateway International Airport, Gateway Airlines, welcome the first cargo airline, and other landmark projects.
I presented him with a ceremonial sword in his esteemed capacity as the Jagaban (leader of warriors/conquerors), urging him to continue his war on crime and criminality, anti-corruption, and particularly as he embarks on the second-term re-election, assuring him that in Ogun State, we are solidly behind him.

I used to think I had a high libido until I met this girl named Favor. I used to brag that no woman could match my energy in bed, until I met her. This girl would want sex from morning till night; she never got tired.
Where I drew the line was when I came down with malaria. I was on a drip, and she came to me, trying her best to get me aroused. When she noticed my body wasn’t responding, she became upset afterward.
When I realized I was starting to lose weight, I had no choice but to break up with her. She was going to drain me if I hadn’t ended things. But Favor was really good in bed honestly, I haven’t met anyone like her in a while.
It still hurts to this day that we couldn’t work things out, all because of her high sex drive and the fact that I couldn’t keep up.

Let us reflect, sincerely and without sentiment.
In the past few days, the President has reportedly approved ₦3.3 trillion as a “full and final” payment for debts in the power sector. Yet, this is not the first time such approvals have been made.
On May 17, 2024, ₦3.3 trillion was approved for the same purpose. On July 25, 2024, another ₦4 trillion bond was approved to settle similar debts. There have also been other approvals in between, all targeted at addressing the same power sector liabilities.
This raises a fundamental question: were the previous approvals mere announcements without execution?
₦3.3 Trillion Again? Nigeria’s Power Crisis Without End
During the 2023 campaign, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu made a clear promise: that if he failed to deliver stable electricity, Nigerians should not re-elect him. Today, the reality is that power supply has worsened, to the extent that there are even discussions about disconnecting the Presidential Villa from the national grid.
Each time legitimate concerns are raised, what we see appears more like policy pronouncements than measurable progress.
Now, again, we are confronted with another ₦3.3 trillion approval to settle power sector debts.
These debts were largely accumulated under successive administrations of the All Progressives Congress between 2015 and 2025. This raises serious concerns about accountability, transparency, and effectiveness in public financial management.
It is important to note that government institutions and agencies, including the Presidential Villa owe a significant portion of these debts. Year after year, budgets were made and funds appropriated. Why then were these obligations not settled when due? And from what source will this new payment be made? Are we resorting once more to borrowing to service inefficiencies?
Key questions remain unanswered: How did the debt accrue? What is the actual total debt in the power sector? Which components of the debts are due to operators’ inefficiency and should be borne by them? Why have previous approvals not translated into tangible improvements? Who are the real beneficiaries of these repeated payments?
Is the ₦3.3 trillion approved on April 6, 2026, the same as the ₦3.3 trillion approved in May 2024, and how does it relate to the ₦4 trillion bond approved in July 2024?
Nigeria must move beyond recycled announcements and confront the power sector crisis with sincerity, transparency, and decisive reforms.
Until we do so, we will remain trapped in a cycle of debt and darkness.
But with discipline, accountability, and the right leadership, a new Nigeria is still possible. -PO
