@GunthersChop @rollininmone I’m the biggest Jeff Hardy guy since I was a kid, and yes Darby is much better in ring and as a daredevil. I think where Darby some times loses people and that he doesn’t connect with the fans as well as Jeff did on a consistent basis.

Darby is 100% better than Jeff. The Foley comparisons are for the moment of the title win on TV (and also both are freak bumpers that put their body through hell to make their opponents look good). Foley is obviously better.

It is what it is. I’ve always felt Joe Davis is very good at his job and wasn’t bias, so this was all news to me.

Yes, Vin Scully did call Dodgers postseason and World Series games. That said, he would do the radio broadcasts which are generally team-affiliated, while the lead announcer for whatever network held the television rights for the TV broadcast would do the TV announcing. The difference with Joe Davis is that he IS the lead announcer for Fox Sports Baseball, so that’s why they have him doing the television broadcast for the World Series every year no matter who’s playing (Scully would’ve only done the World Series if the Dodgers were playing, at least to my knowledge). Still, in essence it’s not irregular for a team’s commentator to also do national broadcasts while their team is playing in the game. A modern example could also be Brian Anderson for TBS/Brewers.TV. Last year he did the TBS broadcast for the Dodgers/Brewers NLCS despite being the Brewers lead announcer.

There's simply just no reason as to why this dude called 2 world series nationally that featured the dodgers

@MidwestRindigo @Hockey_Is_All Also is the voice of daily Dodger baseball. Same as Scully back in the day. He was able to maybe be a bit less bias, but this is the normal thing to do. Your team loses, there for the whole machine is out to get you, including the broadcast team LOL

@jowole1216 @Hockey_Is_All You seem logical so I gotta ask- didn’t Vin Scully call for the dodgers in their World Series games? Even though he would be used for other sports, he was the voice of the dodgers. Joe is now the voice of the dodgers, but also takes other broadcast options.

@Hockey_Is_All He does a pretty good job at masking his biases when he’s on national television. He calls the SNLA games very differently.

@BackupHangman As with any stipulation that can end at any time but never does, at some point, you have to end it quickly to reinforce that it’s possible. Then show the other potential participants lamenting the fact that they didn't get a chance.
