So now it's starting to feel like there may have been more truth to the idea that Texas Tech couldn't simply move on from Brendan Sorsby without doing extensive due diligence because of the threat of legal action. It's also becoming increasingly difficult to have much sympathy for Sorsby. The NFL is under no obligation to hold a supplemental draft for anyone, and filing a lawsuit over it feels completely absurd. Either way, thank you for dragging my university through the mud.

The organized way the entire sport is attacking a kid with a gambling issue, one they have no qualms about pushing onto other young men by the way, is sick. CFB overreacted and undervalued the student imo…but regardless the NFL shouldn’t say or do anything about that.

Actually massive problem with this. Promotes gambling every chance they get, make millions off of gambling sponsors. But essentially ruin this kids football career for coming out seeking help for gambling addiction.

Sorsby is gone. The lawsuit isn't. The outrage isn't. So what is this really about? It's starting to feel less like protecting the integrity of college football and more like a vendetta against Texas Tech. Big 12 Media Days is going to be fun!

Was only able to watch the Cup race live, but my final thoughts on the weekend: -Cup race was fantastic. Tons of passing zones, 20 lead changes in 75 laps… never felt like there was a dull moment -Racing on a military base with a backdrop of the water & one of the most beautiful cities in the country? It felt like a big event and the on-track action delivered -Caution laps are agonizingly long, we knew that coming in. But the 20-minute caution for Bubba’s wheel/stage 1 end was especially brutal -Glad everyone was okay after the turn 1 crashes. That wall needs to be fixed if we come back. Turn 16 was sketchy too -The logistical issues with food/drink, lines and entering/exiting were disappointing, but also not surprising -Would I welcome a return next year? Yes, but I’m also fine if this ends up being a one-off given how many hoops NASCAR had to jump through to make this a reality. I also wonder what other cool places NASCAR could show up and run a street race… Chicago & Coronado have both been bangers.

Ecuador’s draw with Curaçao means Germany has already secured first place in the group before the final matchday. That makes our game against Ecuador in New Jersey next Thursday pretty much meaningless. I think we’re going to change our plans and head to a different game instead.

@CFBHeather Actually Texas tech fans would like to see you and espn never come to Lubbock again. Yall need to just come out and say what the public has learned and that’s that yall work for the sec and blue bloods and will do whatever it takes to destroy the rest of college sports.
