The amount of ppl who looked at @GamecockWill69 post and dont know the difference between the hash and the BBQ is unbelievable and yet arguing about why the plate of BBQ looks so bad. I've encountered multiple ppl thinking the hash is the BBQ We're suppose to take them seriously

@davidpolen1 @BruinNationBBQ Scott’s (Hemingway, not Charleston) is the best SC ‘cue one can get. I try every single BBQ joint I pass while I’ve lived 45 years in this state, and Scott’s is the top.

@RSaintJ @thestate But what I find “somewhat” impactful is that there still exist families of former slaves in SC who own considerable swaths of land in the state after slavery was abolished. Sure, some have sold… but many still live on the same land their enslaved ancestors cultivated.

@lady_valor_07 Pretty much. We knew when to check in (lunch and dinner), and learned to stay within yellin’ range in case of emergencies or if check-in time was approaching (that’s the distance your parents could audibly yell and you could hear them). Creepers were easy to spot back then.

I’ll ask again Did parents in the 70s/80s/90s really allow their kids to roam freely, or is that just a portrayal seen in movies
