@PhilMackey @MikeCastellino There would be about 1.42 million reasons I'd say
English

Logically speaking, why would Carson Wentz -- a guy who started several games and played fairly well last season -- sign with any team on March 19 as QB3?
Justin@SkolNation88
@PhilMackey Phil, what? Wentz is a QB3 at this point
English

@JoeA_NFL 4/ He comes at a cost that is basically free. There IS only upside at $1.3M.
If he does well, the Vikings have success.
If he doesn't, it's up to McCarthy to prove that he was better all along and has learnt something.
English

@JoeA_NFL 3/ Having been cut by a franchise that not only drafted you, but paid you, will create self reflection and a new desire to succeed. It does in anyone, let alone professional athletes.
Darnold, Geno, Baker... many others...

The Vikings would make a big mistake by signing Kyler.
1. Kyler Murray is a worse QB than JJ McCarthy.
Kyler has a way better reputation. Kyler also has that "gamer" reputation where he gets the benefit of the doubt even if he practices poorly. But he has played a lot of ball and very, very little of it has been good. Even leaving aside the injuries.
In a QB competition, I think JJ narrowly wins. In games, I think McCarthy would significantly outproduce Kyler in the same offense.
2. Kyler isn't experienced or respected enough to be a good mentor for JJ if he loses the competition.
3. Despite Kyler's lesser abilities, his reputation will cause a stir in the locker room. Kyler was a Heisman winner and a 1st overall pick. The players will clamor for him because they are casual fans who don't actually watch other teams play.
Kyler will have a leg up in the competition and the team will be breathing down McCarthy's neck if he were to win a competition.
The pressure is cranked up to 10.

@PatSieps Lets all give Pat a break. He's clearly just woken up from a coma and is currently going through the last 6 months of the NFL.
English

@ArifHasanNFL Only thing I like about this is we have Josh Oliver until 2028 for half what we're paying Hock and they had similar average stats last season
English

Unless I'm mistaken, reworking an already-existing contract to terminate it sooner than in its original terms prevents the player from being eligible for compensatory picks when he signs with another team
Tom Pelissero@TomPelissero
As part of Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson’s restructured contract, the team agreed to delete the final year of his deal, per sources. So Hockenson takes a $5 million pay cut that provides Minnesota cap relief, and now gets to be a free agent after this season.

@HeedTheCallPod @DanHanzus @MarcSessler @ConorOrr @DanHanzus can we please address @titansfilmroom constant need to be melodramatic about his failed HC!
Worst HC in a decade? Please!
We still live in a World where Adam Gase was a HC and have we forgotten URBAN MEYER! A man who LITERALLY kicked his own players!

@supercars congratulations you absolute morons!
Missed ALL the action in the Super Utes race, incl A ROLLOVER, for this stupid "Drivers Walk" and nonsense fluff interviews.
English

@Riley_Gaines_ People that believe those exchanges are real...wow.
English

@Vikings @jjmccarthy09 Should’ve played the whole quarter. He had the year off last year.
English

4/7 passing
30 passing yards
3 total first downs
@jjmccarthy09 led the #Vikings to a FG in his only drive this afternoon.

English

@JJWatt Makes me wonder if he took the shot if that may have had something to do with it
English

@AdenChiz @HeedTheCallPod @ConorOrr I came here just for this.
The current National team are ACTUAL World Champions the past 5 out of 6 times.
English

finished listening to the latest @HeedTheCallPod episode, and @ConorOrr is spot on about Olympic flag football
English

@BrendanKeefe @quadcarl Well this is the stupidest thing I'm going to read today.
English

@quadcarl Low gas prices are actually a sign of a bad economy/low demand. The last times we had super-low gasoline prices were COVID when everyone stopped driving and the Great Recession.

@_willcompton @RapSheet @NFL @BussinWTB Grow up.
The NFL retweeted their employees post. The ones they pay him to make.
Get on the payroll and they'll share yours.
English

@rhuandsheba @libsoftiktok That map is so incredibly wrong.
English

@libsoftiktok Someone shared this in FB this morning... zoom in to read the words, to make it make sense.

English

@nacholeber We've got nothing to trade with anyway.
Vikings fans need to start preparing themselves for a trade back in the first round
English

Sorry Vikings fans, I don’t see it happening
Ian Rapoport@RapSheet
The #Dolphins and seven-time Pro Bowl CB Jalen Ramsey are mutually set to explore trade options and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he played elsewhere in 2025, per me and @TomPelissero. Miami and Ramsey, due $25.1M fully guaranteed this season, could be parting ways.
