@MontyPatel As travel sports keep getting bigger, this is the future. The goal isn't winning and/or hiring a knowledgeable basketball coach. The goal is to have all school coaches get along, and all the kids have fun and socialize. The real competition will be outside of school.

The coaches and parents who allow this to go on are the problem. Instead of teaching kids how to play the game the right way and show respect for the opponent they’re worried about getting viral attention. Embarrassing.

@dannykanell If mommy’s and daddy’s weren’t at the game the next 5 batters are taking head shots from the pitcher. Kids used to police themselves with high heat, hard fouls, etc.

You have to admire the college sports model: convince alums to donate millions to professional sports franchises—and consider the wins the ROI.

It’s coaches like this that have pushed me to Coach the way I do for 33 years. The world would say he is one of the best college basketball coaches there is. Because he wins. But, he uses fear and anger to motivate his players. That’s no way to live. That’s not my kind of coach. Transactional vs Transformational. Fear vs Love. Immature vs Mature. It’s like watching a 2 year old having a temper tantrum. Tough to watch.
