Mine is still Apple I level - it's 2 hours to set it up, it's duct tape and solder to make it work, but boy does it work well when you got it going It's called GBrain github.com/garrytan/gbrain

3 weeks ago GBrain and Mempalace looked kind of similar 3 weeks later, it's pretty clear GBrain is its own category that is ideal for OpenClaw/Hermes personal AI scenarios, not trying to solve needle-in-a-haystack retrieval perfectly only

Was in SF two weeks ago, spent a lot of time at Hogpatch Met a YC founder building a browser-API startup. Unfortunately a fairly broken product, zero traction He got way too interested when he heard I was bootstrapped with hundreds of customers Today, two separate people told me he's planning to pivot into my product and is already lying to people about the quality of our data I won't name him, but if you're reading this I'm disappointed in you.

@dflieb Does Tesla have adaptive cruise control? Where it doesn’t turn the steering wheel and only manages the distance between you and the car in front?

Tesla FSD really needs a mode for “drive at the speed I set and stay in the left lane on the highway”. “Hurry” is the only way to get even close to the speed you set, but it insists on driving like a 15yo trying to pass on the right when it never is better. FSD is useless on the highway.

@ycombinator @TryLance Should work with the ProHost AI team also backed with YC. They’re doing something similar but just with Airbnbs

Congrats to @TryLance on their $5M seed! Lance builds AI agents that run hotel operations, handling guest communication and executing the work behind the scenes. Hotels still rely on calls, radios, and manual coordination. Staff miss inbound calls, juggle requests across disconnected systems, and spend hours on repetitive tasks instead of serving guests. Lance acts like an autonomous operator. Their agents answer calls and messages, create and route work orders, update systems, and coordinate staff in real time. This means faster responses, fewer missed bookings, and a more efficient operation overall. lance.live/blogs/announci…

Data center construction is the one corner of construction that actually works!! Standardized specs, union-coordinated, capital-rich, fast permitting in the right counties. Residential construction is the opposite: fragmented, slow, error-prone. Watching it cost me real money on my own laneway project right now. Building Frameworks to fix it.

If you skip some or all of college to start a startup, it's on you to develop your mind the way college would have. And that's not something that happens by default in most startups.

Your motivation shapes your ethics. When you pursue your deepest desires your brain has a way of convincing itself that you are acting morally.

People are hard to understand when you don’t know what motivates them. Once you learn what motivates a person - you can fairly accurately predict their behaviors.

In Brian Chesky’s “founder mode” essay, @paulg wrote “Obviously founders can't keep running a 2000 person company the way they ran it when it had 20”. That was written September 2024. This week with @garrytan’s gstack, you kinda can

GBrain v0.23.0 is actually... a quite big deal. Your brain actaully gets enriched from your conversations with OpenClaw now. OpenClaw still has its own separate memory, but the brain's people, companies, and concepts now all benefit from what it learns from you.
