I have made enough from streaming to buy this model finally, i unfortunately no longer can work on my own model because i need to work on commissions and help with irl stuff and I'm already down so much for stupid ram:(
And i also decided that streaming revenue will be invested back into stream related content including emotes, toggles and premade outfits. Because i still don't make that much but i think it's a good idea.

please put your savings and money you put aside for taxes and your extra business reinvestment money into high yield savings accounts.
put aside money for taxes.
give yourself a monthly budget.
you will not survive the kind of rollercoaster that is your income as a content creator if you’re not helping yourself. it’s literally the only way i’ve been able to continue this job for six years despite being very small and going through MANY big emergencies without having to beg for donos every single month some years.
for the love of christ save for and open a retirement account (i don’t care how old you are, start right now.)

To anyone who makes content or anything of the sorts, you can often write off certain things for your taxes. Save your receipts, print off invoices, set em aside if you use them for content. It all adds up.
I have a spreadsheet & receipts box. Just update ~1x/mo or so lol

vtubers almost never talk about money but im gonna self report here :) i finally got around to doing my taxes (i know i know, yes i did get an extension) and my total earnings in 2025 was a whopping $3,537.29 USD. now I obviously have a spending problem: - $20k on my Otaku★STAGE! concert - $7k on art/music comms (believe me this is an improvement from 2024) - $5k on other content assets like second outfit, chibi model, 3D model, etc. those are NOT mandatory to be a vtuber, just what i wanted to do to entertain my community the way in every way i could. my other expenses like rent ($15k), food, cat food, etc. are more reasonable but also add to the bill a lot of people have also asked me "girl, ARE YOU RICH??" lol i wish, i just had decent savings that i was willing to completely dedicate to my vtuber dream. that being said, i do have to start being a lot more responsible with my spending 😅 because those savings are pretty much out
