LOL Trevor Milton is raising $1B at a $4B valuation for an autonomous jet (consumer and military), says the most wealthy people in the world say “we can trust you now” because of the Trump pardon, and Trump affiliates are helping him. Good luck! wsj.com/business/trevo…

ranking pilates classes/studios in SF from toughest to chillest: 1/ Solidcore - any studio/class. kind of a cortisol spike but in a good way. easier to get a res in the Marina location if you enjoy working out at 9PM 2/ BodyTempYoga - heated mat pilates here is by far one of the most challenging classes i’ve done. Local studio in the Marina with decent availability

as a later-stage guy, when I moved into venture capital and started evaluating businesses my first week. "there's no EBITDA? and ARR is . . . a straight line up and to the top right, but, you're at the beginning of the line? this is all projected and made up???"

@elocinationn Some of the worst bosses I’ve had have been that brand of Girlboss who see every younger woman as competition

The reality is men and women have advantages in different domains. There’s not much you can do about people’s subconscious biases because they are subconscious—you can only accept it and keep going until you find your sponsor. It’s trite, but you need to be the change you want to see. I do think we judge men and women differently for the same trait (e.g. pushy woman = annoying, pushy man = go getter), but then some women can flutter their eyelashes and get out of a speeding ticket that no man could. There are just endless vectors along which 1 sex is somehow advantaged over the other, and trying to make people unbiased when this is human nature is futile at best. At worst, it causes silent resentfulness which actually ends up hurting women more, because the women who aren’t obsessed with playing the victim all the time (most women) still get lumped in with the loud minority. Men stop mentoring us and become too easily paranoid that we’re going to accuse them of something. We all know the story. Guess we’re over this nonsense on X but the LinkedIn crowd is still in performance mode. I will say I’ve enjoyed watching so many of these public ‘women supporters’ end up being the absolute worst queen-bee-woman-sabotagers in the end. Propensity to virtue signal still the strongest predictor of dark triad personality traits.
Clara Gold@Clara_Gold

This is completely BS and this narrative honestly drives me crazy. VCs don’t care if you’re a man or a woman. They care about backing companies that can return their fund. We need to stop pushing the idea that women can’t raise because they’re women. It’s simply not true and it’s incredibly disempowering. Plenty of women raise. I’m a female, solo, non-technical founder, and I raised from Sequoia and Khosla. Not a single investor I pitched cared that I was a woman. The real issue is much simpler: raising money requires projecting extreme conviction. You have to inspire trust, radiate confidence, and sell a vision so big it almost sounds delusional. And women are often less aggressive, less assertive, less confident, and less comfortable projecting that level of conviction. You can "dress like a man", but if you "pitch like a woman", you still won’t raise. Telling women the system is stacked against them doesn’t empower them. It just creates BS excuses and lowers the bar.

@airkatakana my guess is this was annualized revenue from a given week, $7m/52=$135k —> $135k/$20=6731 (users), have unfortunately seen this style of startup math a few times

this must have been a straight up lie right? at a $20/month sub they would have needed 29166 paid subscribers to justify this no amount of attention can get that many people to open their wallets when you don’t have a stable and working product

Looks like @cluely is almost fully out of money. they have removed all affiliates other than @im_roy_lee and @neelyweely23. Those badges cost $50 a month. I think they're spending too much on engineers since most of them have the original $400k pay package. They now pay 40% less

Easily the worst advice I have seen. If you’re able to do so, attend the most prestigious college possible & work at the most prestigious company possible. They will transform your life & provide lifelong optionality.
🏴‍☠️@calvinfroedge

If you're smart, the worst thing you can possibly do is go to an ivy league school or work for a top firm These things make you dependent on the system - you lose your ability to think critically Arrogance and left brained skills with no creativity or mental flexibility
