This may be the dumbest thing anyone has ever heard today. Davis, CA City Council just passed a resolution (4-1 with 1 abstention) banning new contracts and subsidies with Elon-controlled companies like Tesla, SpaceX, Starlink, Neuralink, xAI, etc. However, just for emergencies, they added a carve-out to allow Starlink… WTF. Currently there are no current contracts or investments today so zero impact, but in the future, the city will definitely feel it.
