@RivianUpdates @DevinOlsenn This is typical Tesla negativity on anything non-FSD. Amazing how forgiving & apologists these folks were the last 7 years with Tesla.

Good video, especially showing the real world behavior. From a Rivian owners perspective: I will say this is like using Tesla Autopilot on city streets and being surprised it doesn’t behave like a point to point system. I wouldn't compare AP to FSD, so why compare UHF to FSD? Rivian could definitely do a better job communicating Universal Hand Frees purpose and limitations because "Universal" Hands Free could be misleading. And yes Rivian should make it more clear when UHF is available. Some of what you were running into also just comes down to first time use. It looked like it was behaving as expected on the uninterrupted roads you showed. UHF is designed for long, uninterrupted, lane defined roads like urban and rural highways, interstates, and consistent stretches of road. It doesn’t handle city logic, stop signs, traffic lights, on/off ramps, or dense cross traffic, and it’s not trying to.

Rivian Universal Hands-Free vs Tesla Self-Driving This was my first time testing Rivian's new Universal Hands-Free, and I was honestly surprised by how it performed. I understand this is their first attempt and it will only improve from here, but truthfully, it is worse than any version of FSD or Autopilot I have ever used. I respect Rivian as a company, but I always try to remain unbiased in my opinions, so here are my unfiltered thoughts on where UHF stands today. Hoping to test it more as the system receives major updates! Hope you all enjoy the video. @Tslachan I legitimately don't understand how anyone can say anything currently available in the $45k price range can beat a Model Y. Will be different once iX 3 is here if you don't care about ADAS.

It's a world where famous reviewers can't distinguish between Autopilot and FSD.

The reason Tesla’s Full Self-Driving can go thousands of miles between reported accidents is because the human supervisor intervenes when the system makes critical errors.

And that's a wrap on the 2026 EV Charging Summit. I want to thank everyone who stopped by to say hello, and to everyone who stopped me to express their appreciation for my content. It was another great show; we'll definitely be back in 2027!

@howdygeek @LucidMotors The part that’s frustrating it’s been great since last update. This last few percent of dialing in & it will be perfect!

Second time today having to back into Superchargers with no backup camera. Will likely clear with soft reboot, but this is getting old @LucidMotors as bumped into this one. Earlier today it slammed on brakes a foot short. 🤦‍♂️ Gravity is such a great driving luxury machine with incredible packaging & 95% of the time the software is excellent. The last 5% is aggravating at times. Last update fixed so much, but still lots to work on for the software team.

Road trip ended. Trip in @LucidMotors Gravity cost me $151.86 for 1100 mile trip. All charging was exclusively on @Tesla Superchargers. Every session was flawless & ridiculously fast. Gravity charges like a beast!

@TravisKetchum @LucidMotors @Tesla True. I’m running the biggest least efficient wheel & tire setup on the Gravity. I’ve never seen above 2.8 Comparison will be interesting as I head back Monday in Quad with Ats. 😬

@MayurPurohit201 @LucidMotors @Tesla No intervention take overs I didn’t do myself. Was pretty good other than too many nags with “hands in wheel” & “eyes on road” anytime no matter how short I looked at infotainment screen. But annoying when trying to look at charging stop quick or select a podcast.
