Both had phenomenal mixtape runs. Big Sean is very influential with punchlines even rappers like Drake used his early style. Being a Philly native I gotta side with Meek. Before fame, meek was famous in the streets. People would drive down just to see him freestyle and buy his CDs. Here's a freestyle from that era. He's an absolute legend in Philly forever. youtube.com/watch?v=rKUJG5…

Big Sean vs. Meek Mill. Two hit-makers who ran the 2010s. Sean: Clever punchlines, slick flows, massive radio plaques. Meek: Raw energy, legendary mixtapes, anthems that defined the culture. Who is the greater artist? Who had the bigger impact?

@Tunde_T6 Lyrically no. The more you dig into every single line the less impactful it feels. But I loved the actual flow/instrumental on the last verse. I dont even think its better than Pushups.

People will ignore this but this is absolutely accurate. This context is why he will lose a defamation case. Because in any other situation, calling someone a PDF would result in libel or defamation. UNLESS, you have willingly participated in a rap battle AND invited that type of energy. People talk about how calculated Drake is. He made some of the dumbest moves I've ever seen anyone make. 1) The acknowledgment of his reputation with younger girls - without this acknowledgment in Taylor Made you could build a legal case that Kendrick made this up out of thin air. 2) Family Matters, after multiple instances of Kendrick saying hes doesnt want to go the mudslinging route, you immediately try to ruin his image and say he beat his wife and his kids aren't his. From that point onward, everything was off the table. They'll see the context of the allegations and say "but sir - it appears you have asked for this to happen?"

Perpetually Disappointed 😑
Difference being, Jay didn't invite that kind of narrative into his life by willingly participating in a well established form of verbal warfare where no form of disrespect is off the table. Nor did he escalate said verbal warfare by levying life/reputation altering allegations at any of the ppl he took shots at FIRST. Despite being warned 5 different times across 3 different songs by the dude he was shooting at not go the propaganda/mud slinging route. I don't recall Jay telling Dame, Nicki, Drake, or Jaguar to come at him, telling them "nah not this time, you're gonna follow through when they didn't" fast enough, and then calling any of them wife beating cucks raising bastard children when they did. Nor were actual lawsuits filed against Drake that had actual civil & potential criminal repercussions. Context kinda matters when talking about perception via comparison. Not really apples to apples here. Just saying.

@CobeCashes @hfrpodcast Im not gonna shit on FM I thought it was a great effort by Drake. I think Pushups was the better initial chess move. And most of the reason why I like FM is the flow/beat on the 3rd verse. Ppl gas the 2nd one, to me it's just ok.

J. Cole is probably like the rappiest rapper from the mainstream in about 30 years💀
Context Kid 🇿🇦@Context_Kidd

@faviexx Cole is just a songwriter at this point, he ain't a rapper. Rap is a competitive sport. Cole just writes songs and makes music now.

Fuck the streams fr lol. I was saying the other day how Beyonce's solo career is overrated compared to someone like Rihanna. But I forgot about all the Destiny's Child slaps. Theyre older the kids dont even know them so the streams would never be high. But that era had RnB bangers, a genre thats been dead for over 10 years outside a few artists

Jay Z has too many skeletons in his many closets. Can’t have a son you are actively NOT taking care of. Black workers and creatives you refuse to pay and all the evil you have orchestrated behind the scenes. Drake, take it to hell when that time comes…
