Drakeโs lawsuit is the best move he couldโve made and has clear goals which above all, is proving in court how the opposition ran a coordinated scheme to devalue his brand during negotiations yet standing by his diss tracks. The pedophile smear didnโt stick mainly because Drake sued and forced UMG and others to stop amplifying the lie. Without the lawsuit, once the statute of limitations passed, that accusation wouldโve haunted him forever with people asking, โIf itโs not true, why didnโt he sue?โ(shoutout @OVODocket on this part) Drake has every right to fight back this way. Thatโs exactly how corporate beefs get settled. Drake has generated massive money for a lot of people, and itโs disgusting what his own label allegedly tried to pull. Since heโs not chasing cash, itโs clear he wants ownership and public accountability for the damage done to his name.
