Four suspects aged between 47 and 62 have been arrested for the alleged illegal possession and attempted sale of a pangolin in Welkom, Free State. The suspects were caught during a Hawks and Anti-Gang Unit intelligence-driven operation while allegedly trying to sell the pangolin for R80 000. The animal was rescued and handed over to authorities for safekeeping.
