An entire population in Massachusetts is gaslighting you into thinking lower taxes is a bad thing. The income tax reduction ballot question had a 66% approval rating but the 34% won. Just like the 28% against the audit (72% approval rating) won.

Massachusettsโs Supreme Judicial Court just did something AWESOME! They ruled today that Initiative Petition 25-18, a proposed income tax cut from 5% to 4%, cannot appear on the 2026 ballot. Why: the Attorney Generalโs official summary told voters something that was wrong.

I would love it if Boston (and Mass.) decided to leave these regulatory changes in places after the World Cup ends. But if they try to roll them back, which is very likely, we are all going to have to do our part and start drinking in public more often.
