@Magnum702 @RaraSensei It's not really too cold in Niigata. I lived in Matsumoto (Nagano) and it's so much colder there but without snow :)

@thisgracef @RaraSensei That's fantastic, the snow is taller then him. My wife does not like the cold so I don't think I can convince her to move there when we move back.

Dear far too many of you (who don’t follow me): Hokkaido, Tohoku, Chubu, Chugoku, Shikoku, Kyushu, Okinawa, the rest of Kanto They exist in Japan, places that are not Tokyo or Kansai.

The walkways are always clear, thank you.

I had an online test for a job I applied recently and the company expected I still know COLLEGE ALGEBRA, 20 years after I graduated college. 😵

@Magnum702 @RaraSensei Niigata represent! You say you don't mind the snow? My son goes to school in ski wear :)

@RaraSensei I knew a girl in college from Niigata, the way she described it made it sound like the greatest place in Japan. I don’t mind snow either. I tried to find work there when I was living in Asia but was unsuccessful 😞

@MKinTokyo I think I've not seen shark meat in the supermarkets here. However, in Dubai where we previously lived, whole baby sharks were always available. (Still didn't try!)

@thisgracef They sell shark a supermarket near my home. I sometimes buy it and use it in tomato sauce for spaghetti. It’s pretty good. Seems like tuna, but not so fishy.

My son, who goes to school in Tokyo, just told me his school lunch was whale. Wow!

@MKinTokyo My son said it's good! I have not tried it. Maybe if I won't know it's a shark…

@Mystique_16 But the saving grace here is that it's not as cold as Canada. We're only hovering -3C to 0C on snow days
