Good morning, Jeffco. With today's snowy conditions, we wanted to update the community about the snow removal plan. Jefferson County Road and Bridge will prioritize Priority 1 and Priority 2 roads while snow is falling. Once the snow ends, crews will focus on clearing Priority 3 and Priority 4 roads. *Please note that Jeffco Road and Bridge is currently short 34 drivers. Crews will work around the clock to clear the roads. We appreciate your understanding and support as we work through what looks to be a big snowstorm today and tomorrow. Snowplowing & Ice Control Procedure: Plowing and sanding operations will take place in four phases during a storm. The order in which streets are plowed in each phase is based on the following definitions of priority: ❄️Priority 1 – Main arterial streets that provide for high traffic volumes. ❄️Priority 2 – Major subdivision collectors, school zones and school bus routes. ❄️Priority 3 – Residential or other local roads that carry moderate to low traffic volumes. ❄️Priority 4 – Cul-de-sacs or other dead-end roads carrying very low traffic volumes.

They discussed various ways of collaboration between the Stakes and the County, including 2024 Community Service in Jefferson County, Cold Weather Protective Options, and County-Wide Challenges, Needs & Opportunities.

The @COcounties CCI Foundation Winter Conference wraps up today! Commissioners @LDahlkemper, Andy Kerr, and @tkth joined other county leaders from across the state to share best practices, get updates on various topics, and identify solutions. During the conference this week, Commissioner Dahlkemper moderated a wildfire mitigation panel. There was also a panel highlighting #Jeffco’s work to address housing affordability in partnership with several other counties.

In 2023, Jefferson County received approximately $30.5 million in revenue above the TABOR revenue limit, as a result, the county is required to give that money back to the 211,000 property taxpayers in 2024.
