🎬 Applied Showcase: Meet MasterSelects, a full video editor that runs entirely on WebGPU. No native app, no CPU roundtrip. 37 blend modes and 3D rotation in a single 618-line WGSL shader. GPU-accelerated scopes, optical flow scene detection, SAM2 segmentation on-device, and export straight from the GPU canvas. 13 dependencies total. MIT licensed. 🔗 webgpu.com/showcase/maste… #WebGPU #VideoEdit #Film #AI #Creative

@cotterzz @holtsetio Could be a fun set of remixes... would love to see how the game changes with different materials given the physics would change

@webgl_webgpu @holtsetio I'm thinking about sandtris (another interesting variation, google it) And wondering what if every piece was a different material with different properties? Jelly, sand, brick, water... it would be like noita-tris or something. 😆

🌳 Story Showcase: A 20-hectare garden turned into billions of particles, navigable in your browser. Huncwot (@huncwotdigital) flew drones over composer Krzysztof Penderecki's estate in rural Poland, ran photogrammetry on the footage, and built a fully accessible WebGL experience where the point cloud sways to the composer's own music via the Web Audio API. Seven chapters, custom GLSL shaders, and a labyrinth hiding fragments of orchestral works inside 15,000 virtual hornbeams. 🔗 webgpu.com/showcase/pende… #threejs #WebGL #creativecoding #GLSL #photogrammetry

Building interactive tutorials for you. Not just text, think Brilliant.com style. What should I build first?

Good questions that @trusktr can better address. A few things I'm thinking about: - SolidJS' reactivity system is one of the most brutally optimized for surgical updates - The Web Component approach here allows for modular experiences that can easily work in any framework... and I believe SolidJS' approach is quite lean (compared to others)

@webgl_webgpu Declarative 3D in HTML. Clever abstraction. But what's the performance tax vs raw WebGL?

🏥 Applied Showcase: A full radiology workstation running in your browser tab. OHIF Viewer streams DICOM medical images, fuses PET/CT volumes, and renders tumor segmentations, all GPU-accelerated through a single shared WebGL context via Cornerstone3D. Zero installs. Open source. One of the most serious uses of WebGL on the web. 🔗 webgpu.com/showcase/ohif-… #WebGL #MedicalImaging #DICOM #OpenSource #Cornerstone3D

@ProjectEnter That's a good point. I think @trusktr had some ideas in taking this multi-modal with a common component language.

🧵 Creative Showcase: Three worlds, three garments, one browser tab. Active Theory's (@active_theory) CHILE20 for adidas Originals is a scroll-driven WebGL experience that moves between past, present, and future, each scene with its own art direction and a hero product rendered from crushed-down 500K-poly models. 🔗 webgpu.com/showcase/chile… #WebGL #eCommerce #adidas #fashion
