@tazercopter I think it's professional to state very clearly, so that our bias is known, that we don't like Modrinth. We don't like them because we believe the entire breakup, both how it was handled and why (part of which we can't go into due to an NDA), was handled incredibly badly.

@withpyro Extremely unprofessional to just say you don't like Modrinth because they dropped you and then say you shouldn't like this deal because a company is for-profit (you aren't? Modrinth wasn't?) and that the public doesn't like Essential (fair, but it's an optional Minecraft mod.)

@67erpMemequeen Given they said in their live streams that they had multiple options and chose spark of all companies to run it, there had to be a better option. Doing nothing was also an option for a profitable company as they said in their q&a.

One more time, for the record: no, we don't like Modrinth, and we think we've earned that. But you don't need our baggage to see it. A platform built on being creator first just got bought by a company whose entire model is the opposite. That's the problem, with us or without us.

"Hold us accountable, watch what we do." Come on. You don't get to ask for accountability after you've already sold to the exact company everyone was worried about. The time to listen was before February. They didn't.
