@HistorianUSA1 I think it's petty to call the police on her. But should factor in if it's a recurring issue or if it's a first time thing. If it was the first time go talk to her, explain it's only for customers and have her pay for a bottle of water or waive the payment for only this time.

Lady on a mobility scooter plugs into a power outlet belonging to a restaurant because the betters died on the way to her dentist appointment. Owner’s pissed — wants her arrested. Officer steps in with pure common sense and human decency: offers her a ride to the appointment and pays the owner $2, telling the owner he wishes he could arrest him. I’m siding with the cop here. But tell me — are you Team Owner on this one? She is using his electricity without permission. What’s your take?

@LASHYBILLS What the fuck kind of friends are these? I'd would have probably caught an attempted murder charge myself cause the moment the old fuck pounced on the crutches guy I'd been kicking his old head in.

A 70-year-old man was charged with attempted murder after he tried to drown a 21-year-old man on crutches at a residents-only lake in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, over a dispute about access to the lake. According to a Hopkinton police report, Dana shouted at a group of young men that it was "time to go," referring to the group riding a jet ski on the lake The group and Dana shout back and forth, with Dana eventually walking up to the group to confront them, according to officials "Are you going to beat up a cripple?" one of Duffy's friends reportedly asked Dana. "I don't care, I'll take a cripple." Dana responded, according to the report. Speaking with NewsCenter 5, the victim, Matthew Duffy, said he feared for his life. "I was so scared for my life because I can't fight back, I broke practically everything and this guy's on top of me under the water, I can't see what's going on, I can't fight back," Duffy said Steven Dana was charged with an attempt to murder, two counts of strangulation/suffocation, and assault and battery on a disabled person.

@AndrewKolvet This is really embarrassing. Such knowledge isn't even an "American history" thing, it's a World History data point that should be known to any educated adult. It's not like he asked her who was the president of a third world country that played a minor role in the war.

The impact of our failed education system just revealed itself in this congressional hearing, and it shows how incompetent people have become. Bessent: "Who was the president during World War I?" Rep. Chu: "I don't know." This woman is a FEDERAL LEGISLATOR responsible for creating the laws that govern hundreds of millions and she doesn't know something this simple. Incompetent children, all of them.

@DailyMail I was about to commend the French on taking such a decision. After actually reading the article this happened in Pakistan and it's there where they have the balls to treat animals like these as they deserve, by putting them down.

This driver is entering a roundabout and is trying to follow the white truck with the trailer in front of him. The Land Rover is entering from the right. As he tries to follow the truck, the Land Rover cuts him off. The Land Rover driver said it was his fault and that he should have continued around the roundabout. We have a lot of these where I live. I do not like them one bit. 💯 Watch closely. Who do you think was at fault and who do you think had the right of way? Do you have roundabouts where you live?

Britain had a moment of silence for George Floyd. Our politicians kneeled en masse to show their outrage at his killing. "I can't breathe" became a slogan. George Floyd died on the other side of the world. He wasn't British. Henry Nowak *was* British and his treatment by the police was shocking and negligent in the extreme. Yet there is no minute of silence. There is no coordinated public campaign. There is no kneeling at sporting events. And we all know why. During the summer of BLM, some people said "All Lives Matter". This was treated as the highest form of racism and anyone who said this was immediately cancelled. Why? Because the people in charge don't actually think all lives matter in the same way. They have created a racial hierarchy of victimhood where a career criminal who died through mistreatment by police in a foreign country with 0 evidence of racism like George Floyd is automatically sanctified because of the colour of his skin. And Henry Nowak, a British man, one of ours, is automatically dismissed and ignored because of the colour of his. This is the ugly fruit of so-called "anti-racism", an obsession with race that has created a two-tier society which treats people differently because of the colour of their skin. This needs to stop.

“You’ve been stabbed? I don’t think you have, mate,” the officer responded. The @HantsPolice body camera footage of the arrest of a dying Henry Nowak has been released. The university student tried desperate to tell police he had been stabbed and that he couldn’t breathe. They turn him around on the ground and handcuff him until he goes limp. Nowak was killed by an Indian man who lied and said he was the victim of a racist attack, a tactic often used and encouraged by leftists to get an upper hand against others.

@CollinRugg Why is anyone with "16 or more speeding violations" even allowed to be driving anywhere? Forget about the stupid device, take away their license and if they are found to be driving without it pin a huge fine on their ass or throw them in a cell.

New Yorkers with 16 or more speeding violations will now have to install devices in their cars to limit their driving speeds. The device will use GPS tracking to restrict how fast the car can drive to the posted speed limit. The device will be wired into the vehicle's onboard computer. If drivers refuse to install the device, their registrations will be revoked after 45 days.

@PolitlcsUK While you are at it, should look into the judge's previous sentencing to see if there's a pattern of irresponsible leniency and appeal those other cases too.

@cknze1 GF rewatched the Devil Wears Prada (not a romantic movie) because of the sequel, asked me to watch with her. I ended up wondering why the girl resisted the advances of some famous guy most of the movie only to fuck him almost at the end & then go back to her boyfriend of years.

Gen X here... I remember going to McDonald's for birthday parties & on rare occasions w/ my family for a treat. Eating out was NEVER an everyday occurrence... not even weekly. Months would go buy w/ nothing but grocery store bought food. Where are these people getting their info?
Raven@raven_brah

Boomers seem to forget that fast food used to be a normal, everyday expense for them because it was affordable. You could get a burger easily on minimum wage, it wasn’t some fancy treat you had once a year as a reward for pulling yourself up by your bootstraps.

@Y_UOMDHO I mean it would depend on what he's liking. Was she out of the country in Paris and got a picture in front of the Eiffel tower? Or are her pictures in the gym with tight yoga pants with zoom focused on her lower body? One of those likes is not like the other.

@JustRed_69 @BanjoCat82 @eliotranch That's what I meant, if you've got a problem take it with twitter's short format writing. Can't be putting everything as clearly as I'd like without paying a subscription. End of the day rapists walked free and people who should've been protected are let down by the system.

One of the reasons the judge gave such a disgustingly lenient sentence is because these boys were of too low intelligence to understand consent. They lured two different girls to go on a 'date', then raped them and filmed it while laughing and shared it online. But apparently the 'consent' bit was a touch tricky. Judge needs locking up with them.

@JustRed_69 @BanjoCat82 @eliotranch Ok but not what I meant with foreign and local. You don't have to be from another country to be foreign to a locality. In olden times, let alone the gallows, the whole town or village would have banded up to lynch them.

@cjsnowdon The UK is baffling to me. It's one thing if the verdict had come as inconclusive because of insufficient evidence. But they are guilty, just apparently too stupid to be incarcerated. Excuse me? If you're that dumb you're a menace and can't be rehabilitated, you shouldn't be free.
