🚨 PEPE DEFENDS BRUNO FERNANDES AND JOÃO NEVES
🗣️ “After the DR Congo match I checked social media and I was shocked. Bruno Fernandes and João Neves were getting hit with thousands of hate messages, like they’d let Portugal down… simply because Ronaldo didn’t receive every pass.
Fans completely lost perspective. Their comment sections were flooded with ‘respect Ronaldo’, ‘give him the ball’. As if Bruno and Neves need to be taught about Cristiano’s legacy — Bruno’s shown him respect his whole career.
Some supporters weren’t even watching the game. They were watching Bruno and Neves. Every pass, every decision, all judged by one question: ‘Did it go to Ronaldo?’ That’s not support. That’s obsession.
Portugal’s job is to win matches, not to run a social media campaign for one player. And the irony is, if Bruno and Neves forced every ball to Ronaldo and we dropped points, those same fans would call them selfish and clueless.
Cristiano Ronaldo is a legend. No one disputes that. But respecting him shouldn’t mean attacking teammates for making different choices on the pitch.
If our players start worrying more about angry fan pages than about the game, then Portugal’s biggest threat isn’t the opposition. It’s ourselves.
@A_kinola02 You can never sign a player and be 100% sure he delivers the same way he did in his previous club no matter how elite he was. Moreover the fofana was signed from Leicester so not in anyway elite
@A_kinola02 We want Elite players we want experienced players oya now sign them and offer them 180k with no UCL football as wages and see if they would reject other clubs for us. Werey fanbase
@CFCKINC@tradu81@Tundey_08@AlexisIsKavkas I love Enzo and I loved Mount at Chelsea I won't compare them but the truth is we are about to lose Enzo for the same reason we lost Mount. U can't get elite players on 180k wages
You need to be a special idiot to think this isn’t about money with Enzo
“He wants to leave”, look at his performances since Maresca left, he is one of few not to down tools.
The guy wants to win and be paid fairly.
Reece, Caicedo and Palmer got pay bumps, Enzo deserves it too
I have my reservations on Enzo Fernandez but when the clubs interested in him are Real Madrid, Manchester City and PSG you have to wonder if the club might be making a mistake.
How much would sell him for ?
If Enzo does indeed leave Chelsea, Morgan Gibbs-White would be my ideal replacement. He would replace the goals and assists that Enzo contributes and knows exactly how the Premier League runs.
He is a serious, serious player and IMO, would easily slot into Enzo's role, especially under Alonso.
Baller 🔥🔥🔥.
@biguce942@HalfSpaceMC That's why I can't even blame him if he wants to leave. Bro is almost always there for the team does what he can do and still gets heavily criticized compared to players who are far worse than him.
@issymagnet@AlexisIsKavkas Exactly last season we won the CWC the SD's gave themselves a pay increase that they are the one who built the structure that won the CWC not the coach.
@AlexisIsKavkas Chelsea fans are clowns.
Every skilled worker, working for a company at some points demand for raise, it’s common sense.
They themselves will prioritize themselves if they were in the player’s position. It’s not rocket science fgs!
Nah we go still cry when season end 😭
@tradu81@Tundey_08@AlexisIsKavkas 3 Dead Players for a good amount of Money. Enzo is a different Player compared to these, he is literally our Vicecaptain 😂
@CFC_OBED Except from Estevao and Pedro the rest are terrible not worth being on the bench. We haven't even enjoyed Estevao to the full cause of relentless injuries and "we are protecting him" gimmick
@CFC_OBED Chelsea fans don't learn from wat happened last season. We sold noni, Felix, kdh, nkuku, Jackson(loan) and replaced them with estevao(injury prone), garnacho, gittens, bounanote, delap and none of them is even worth being on our bench. And again we want a repetition of that.
Enzo Fernandez
Joao Pedro
Marc Cucurella
Regardless of how you feel about them , Chelsea shouldn’t sell them . We have to make this team stronger for Alonso , not weaker
@Blue_Footy We also have to realise that part of the changes we are seeing in Chelsea started from Enzo calling out the owners whether we like it or not he is very important to the club.
@Blue_Footy If I was Enzo with how I try to always be one scoring the goals when everyone is off form and still being heavily criticized by the fanbase I wouldn't skip a bit to leave especially if there is another club willing to pay me good money
If I were Enzo Fernandez, I will stay and play under Alonso, even if it's for one year. He will learn a lot.
Money is important but steady improvement as a player is priceless.
@Blue_Footy So based on what you're saying we shouldn't give a player a wage increase because he might fail in the later future. Then how do you plan on keeping and attracting experienced players. But then Enzo has for 2 seasons given us 20ga so what do U have to say again.
One of the reasons why clubs use a wage cap structure is to control the future. A player can be good today, and demand and get big wages.
Then, if he turns out not so good tomorrow, you have a problem like we had with Raheem Sterling. You can't predict or control the future. Anything can happen. The structure protects the club from the unknown.
Every player at this club knows our wage cap. So, if his agent turns up demanding more than that, which they know the club won't accept, it means they are indirectly pushing to leave to go and earn more elsewhere or because they no longer trust the project.
