In discussion with the Insider Edition, Payjoin contributors shared their motivation for starting the new non-profit, and what it means for future development efforts. @aaron_recompile Any interesting patterns in the tapscripts? Are they mostly the same script? Assuming these are mostly inscriptions

I’ve been running a Taproot script-path scanner over mainnet blocks, and one interesting pattern stood out: script-path event load changed dramatically over time. Roughly three phases appear in the data: • pre-780k: almost no script-path activity • 780k–820k: large spike • post-820k: persistent noisy baseline This is part of an ongoing experiment toward a Taproot observatory: scanning script-path reveals, reconstructing commitments, and analyzing script template usage at scale. Built with a local full node + Python pipeline, with deterministic reconstruction via RootScope(github.com/aaron-recompil…) . Dataset still evolving.

while building on Bitcoin i ran into issues that ai couldn’t solve either ai isn’t that smart yet, or Bitcoin development is still very early in the end i had to go back to the docs and the source code

1/ We caught a capacity overflow bug in Bark before it ever hit a user, thanks to the fuzz testing @luca0x46 has been running around the clock. A malformed VTXO could have requested an arbitrary vec size during deserialization, triggering a panic. Now it's patched.

Bitcoin Core just merged cluster mempool. The largest internal refactor in years. Most people have no idea it happened. Here's why it's one of the most important things Bitcoin Core has built.

@jxnlco idea: import chatgpt transcripts directly into codex sessions I have a lot of casual technical conversations in ChatGPT, but there isn't a clean way to carry that context into a new or existing codex session. A native transcript import would be cool!

@brian_trollz @kanzure That’s a fine idea. Setting that aside, it really looks like the BIP-3 process was completely sidestepped here. BIP-3 exists to prevent editors from injecting their own opinions into technical material, and I can’t shake the feeling that line was crossed with this BIP.

@Arminsdev @kanzure Things are acknowledged in the BIP repo, without opening a giant shitstorm for BIP editors to deal with regularly, degens have a place to document things, and Bitcoin developers have a place to track what these retards are doing without the work to maintain it.

I have closed the Ordinals BIP pull request. If you are interested, then you can still read the Ordinals BIP in the Ordinals git repository, I think. Don't worry, this isn't a "delete" action or anything - Ordinals still exists & I'm unable to destroy it even if I wanted to btw.
