Plusieurs personnes m'ont demandé le processus de création pour ce genre de coffret Blu-ray alors voici un petit thread allant du boitier jusqu'à la création des menus. Je précise que je viens de commencer à faire ça alors mes méthodes sont peut-être un peu chaotiques par moment.

@thomasmarcoscom Been using a Mac for 3D for a while now. The only downside of doing 3D on Mac is the GPU aspect (even if it’s starting to get better on this side). So I mainly use the CPU instead of the GPU and I use render farms for professional projects anyway. Never going back to windows.

Switching to macOS for 3D: what if the real luxury is just a computer that stays out of your way? Every day, I feel a little more tempted to leave Windows for macOS, even though I’m a 3D artist. For the past 3 years, I’ve been using all three OS daily: Mac for office work, Linux at the studio, and Windows for heavier 3D tasks and gaming. But the more time passes, the more Windows feels like a machine I have to maintain instead of a tool that lets me create: drivers to manage, random bugs, file formats that aren’t handled natively, extra tools to install for basic things, unstable Bluetooth, audio settings to redo… None of this is impossible to deal with when you’re a technical person, but over time it just becomes exhausting. At this point, I just want to turn on my computer and work, or play, without spending 30 minutes fixing something first. Am I just getting lazy, or are there other 3D artists here thinking the same thing? Has anyone here actually moved from Windows to Mac as a 3D artist? How has it been for you? 👀

@KilianMuster @mzppvhofho16214 @HisShadow45 @raywongy That’s the whole point, you should be able to download the installer you paid for. Even if it’s six years old. I mean shits happens, HDD issues, etc…

So I decided to factory reset/erase my beloved 12” MacBook (early 2015) just to get a clean install of the last version of macOS 11.7.11 Big Sur that it supports Big mistake. Apps that used to run (like Final Cut Pro) can’t even be redownloaded from the App Store anymore because Apple requires macOS 15 or later. That’s right: Software that I paid $300 for back in 2020 (see second image with date of purchase) that ran on this little machine (yes, I edited 4K iPhone footage on it during major events like CES, MWC, and IFA back in the day) just straight up doesn’t install anymore. Apple doesn’t even let me install the last compatible version anymore. There’s nothing wrong with my 12” MacBook. It should run all the software that used to work on it. Kinda fucked up and very anti-consumer

@Trick_Question7 @Themountainkin1 It’s clearly what they meant, you can’t ban dslr. I think they are talking about compact cinema cameras like black magic pocket, fx3, fx6, etc… Otherwise why say lens over 135mm are forbidden. This means you can still use smaller lens, and you can’t use a 105mm on a phone.

@GasTonduRang @TalkMyFootball J’ai eu différents pc portables pendant des années, du haut de gamme comme des Sony Vaio ou Asus avec i7, lecteur blu-ray, etc… entre les surchauffes et problèmes techniques, j’ai switché sur Mac, c’est tellement moins de prob et plus durable !

Je suis loin d'être un fanboy Apple mais bordel... Mon MacBook Pro fête ses 3 ans : que ça vieillit bien comme machine. C'est performant comme au premier jour.

@theshadown85 @MayonnaiseCrabe @MaximeChao Alors oui ils ont quand même tourné certaines séquences avec de vrais avions, mais pas les avions qu’on voit dans le film. Il y a plus de 2400 plans truqués, c’est énorme.

Vous vous souvenez de la tagline "No CGI, All Practicals ?" autour de F1 The Movie de Joseph Kosinski et avec Brad Pitt ? Les VFX artists, ils doivent bien être contents que ce genre de vidéo "breakdown" sortent après...

@gleb_alexandrov I think it used to be true. When I added 3d to my skills I had a lot of new clients for 3D motion designs. I became their 3D go to person. It lasted for at least 10 years but this last year it went drastically down because of… you guessed it… AI.

Is it true?

@Gorkab Oui je me suis toujours posé la question du coût réel ! Car là pour l’instant ça donne la sensation que toutes les boites perdent de l’argent avec cette histoire.

@james_zipp @bestofbreakin You just use a really long focal, like a 300mm or more and it will give you the impression that they are close to the explosion. In reality they are really far away.

For the truck explosion scene, the Moncada brothers refused stunt doubles. They filmed it themselves, just meters from the blast.

@nickfloats I’m on the pro plan so have unlimited Nano Banana. Every time I use it I have to switch on the toggle to use my unlimited plan. Why would anyone with unlimited ever not use it? Really dark pattern. A friend didn’t notice and used all his credits for something he had unlimited

Another dark tactic higgsfield uses it throttling the app the moment you convert. They aggressively promote an "unlimited" annual plan (which is another scam) then the moment you convert, everything starts breaking. Once they have your money, they don't want you using the app.
