I've just discovered people have different ways of thinking about this. When you need to clean the kitchen, do you class it as:

@Apocalypte Ugh no way! I chose to change to my mother's maiden name at 13 and that extra bit of paper for passport renewals is always a nightmare to find. No chance I'm going through it all again as an adult with real paperwork

@karomancer Same! My younger sister did the whole long term relationship, kid, dog and buying a house thing by 27. I'm 32 flipping a coin between settling down or going travelling 😅

Now at 32, I finally feel like I'm in my 30s. I don't like this, can I be 31 again and still feel like I'm in my 20's just with extra experience? 🤣

@RandallKanna I love reading a book on these things - but yes, admittedly, it's useless unless I'm using it

Would you read a book about running or get out there and run? Would you read a book about weight lifting or just get to a fitness class? So why are you reading a book on coding?

Finally admitted to my manager that I foresee myself moving away from coding into a more soft skills role eventually. I've never mentioned it because it felt like I'd failed as a coder but making a plan which works to my skillset will ultimately benefit everyone

There are normal Sunday scaries. And then you have a pre Monday bank holiday Sunday scaries where I have to keep checking we are actually off work tomorrow 🙃

@chrisfitkin Only one. But being a one ticket only person on a team of ticket jugglers is hard though!

Why do IT companies like sports teambuilding activities so much? I have 40% lung capacity. I don't want to play tennis 😭.

@ewainy Oh no, how bad is it? Red flag for a junior to have much/if any responsibility in my opinion. Depends on your company/team structure though (smaller companies will have more of a wear-many-hats idea)

How do people go off on little side quests during mobbing? I was just asked to update another repo, but got so distracted by the other conversations on the teams call I ended up making the wrong change in the wrong place 🙈

@manairport Thanks, I said I wouldn't have a pram with me. I have been able to use priority in the past as I had a pram. Am I allowed to use priority *without* a pram or will I need to buy fast track passes for myself and the three year old?

@CodeWithJade Hi Jade, pushchairs aren't permitted through our FastTrack lane. We kindly ask that you use our family and assistance lane when going through security. Thank you.

@manairport if I'm travelling with a three year old child without a pram, am I allowed to use the priority security line or will I need to purchase a fast track pass for both of us?

@PocketProgram I can relate to this so much. Imagining the nothingness would keep me up all night. Made the mistake of telling one parent who's "no-one knows so why worry?" response wasn't comforting. I'm not sure how I would respond to a child now with so much on the news and internet

So my son (6) just surprised me at bad time with “I don’t want to think about dying.” I remember having similar thoughts at that age and my parents did a horrible job trying to comfort me on it. I think I did better, but, for when it comes up again, what’ve you got?
